[Voice of Myanmar News] Northern Shan State news, January 12, is the 58th Liberation Day of the TNLA Armed Forces of Deang. Because of the epidemic, the TNLA forces decided to cancel the Liberation Day celebrations. On January 12, the Kokang Allied Forces (MNDAA), Rakhine Army (AA) and other armed forces on the same front as the TNLA armed forces sent congratulatory letters.

According to news from northern Shan State, at about 4:30 p.m. on December 10, near NamPung Village in Nandu Town, fighting broke out again between the RCSS armed forces of the Southern Shan State Army and the SSPP of the Northern Shan State Army and the TNLA of the Deang National Liberation Army. A total of 4 villagers, including a pregnant woman, were injured during the fighting.
Beginning in 1963, in order to safeguard the right to national autonomy, the Deang ethnic group established an armed force, and designated January 12 of each year as the Day of National Liberation of Deang. In recent days, there have been several outbreaks of fighting between the Deang armed forces and the Southern Shan State Army, resulting in the injury of many villagers. At present, because the war in the war zone has subsided, thousands of villagers who have gone out to take refuge have returned to their hometowns.
