It's Shaanxi again! Dinosaur fossils have been found again!
The last time dinosaur fossils were found in Shaanxi, it goes back more than a month. This time, 8 dinosaur fossils were found in a row.

In this regard, netizens have said that this time it is like finding the "headquarters" of dinosaurs.
On October 2, according to the Shaanxi Provincial Geological Survey, the investigation and identification of dinosaur footprint fossils in northern Shaanxi for more than a month since October has made new breakthroughs, and 8 important dinosaur footprint fossils have been newly discovered, of which theropod footprint is up to 60.5 cm, which is the largest theropod footprint known in China in the Middle Jurassic. The smallest length is less than 3 cm, making it one of the smallest known theropod footprints in China.
Shaanxi Province is definitely one of the gathering places of paleontological fossils in China, to know that in the past 92 years of archaeological excavation work, only in northern Shaanxi has found 15 dinosaur fossil areas, accounting for 79% of Shaanxi Province has been found, of which 8 in Yulin City, 7 in Yan'an City.
This time the discovery is of great significance, mainly in two aspects:
The first is the symbiotic remains of dinosaurs, crocodiles and turtles found in Ganquan County, Yan'an City. In this way, it can be inferred that 65 million years ago, the age of dinosaurs, not after the dinosaurs in the vicinity of Shaanxi Province, there are many more other animals. But over the years, many dinosaur fossils have been found, but there are not so many other fossils.
Experts say that according to the skeletal composition, even some animals, such as crocodiles, are not as fast as dinosaurs when they are decomposed underground, so they should be able to find more. However, this is not the case.
This will be a focus of the next excavation.
The second is that the dinosaur footprint fossils discovered this time undoubtedly expand the geographical and stratigraphic distribution of dinosaur footprint fossils in China, and provide a conclusive basis for the next step of searching for dinosaur skeleton fossils in northern Shaanxi.
That is to say, for the dinosaurs themselves, there are still many questions, before Hubei found evidence of the existence of "dragon egg symbiosis", while northern Shaanxi found more footprints, Yunnan dinosaur town found bones.
Different regions are found to be different, combined with the first aspect, so about 65 million years, the cause of the extinction of dinosaurs, what is it?
If the geological disaster is extinct due to the impact of meteorites on the earth, then all animals in all regions should die at the same time, so the state excavated in different regions should be the same.
If there were other reasons, what would it be? What was the environment like when dinosaurs lived? Could it be that evolution has obscured some of the truth? This is all that needs to be clarified.
Shaanxi's 8 dinosaur fossil production areas this time, because the coverage is too large, so there are also departments that say that some dinosaur halls and the like should be built nearby, otherwise there is no way to protect the areas found now, and it is not excluded that there are more areas that have not been discovered, which may be destroyed.
