Xiao Jie, a 48-year-old director of the Shangzhuang Experimental Station at China Agricultural University, has unfortunately passed away.

According to the Agronomy College of China Agricultural University, Comrade Xiao Jie, a member of the Communist Party of China and the director of the Shangzhuang Experimental Station of the Agricultural University, died in Beijing at the age of 48 at 17:15 on October 31, 2021 after a sudden accident during the sports activities of the college, and after multiple rescue and treatment were ineffective.

Xiao Jie was born on July 21, 1973 in Tai'an City, Shandong Province, joined the Communist Party of China in May 1995, studied at China Agricultural University from 1994 to 1998, stayed in the Physical Education Department in 1998, worked in the Logistics Infrastructure Department of China Agricultural University in 2002, served as the director of Zhuozhou Teaching Experimental Field of China Agricultural University in December 2014, and served as the director of Shangzhuang Experimental Station of China Agricultural University since July 2018.

Shangzhuang Experimental Station of China Agricultural University is a department-level institution directly under China Agricultural University, which was established in September 2004 with the approval of the school, and is located in Shangzhuang Town, Haidian District, Beijing, with a total area of 1240 acres.

According to the official website of the College of Agronomy of China Agricultural University, Xiao Jie represented the school in the National Collegiate Rugby Championship for four consecutive years from 1998 to 2002 and won the first place, in 2002 he was the second runner-up of the Bowl level of the Hong Kong International Rugby Seven, and in 2017 and 2019, he was twice named zhuozhou outstanding CPPCC member.
