In the face of the "unanimous bad comments" of netizens, the actors in the play jumped out and angrily rebuked: "You do what you come" and "How far to go in a rounded way!" ”
The crew also responded one by one, saying that the work was flawed, "the main plot of this drama can stand up to historical research", and "expressed deep gratitude to the enthusiastic audience who made suggestions and well-meaning criticisms of this drama." ”
In any case, there are three "well-intentioned criticisms" to be said here.
First, the bad reviews are not because they are untrue, but because the frivolity that comes out of the unreality hurts the audience's feelings.
To be fair, for fictional film and television works, if you require 100% restoration of the original historical appearance of characters, scenes, and plots, it is too harsh.
However, this does not mean that when the iron hooves of the Invading Japanese Army trample on China's land, they can invent female fighters with heavy makeup at will; nor does it mean that when Chinese soldiers bravely kill the enemy for national independence, they can freely invent the commanders and fighters of the Eighth Route Army with all oily heads and powdery faces; still less does it mean that for the revolutionary contingent that does not take a needle and a thread from the beginning to the end, the plot of the eighth route army general accepting a mansion can be imagined at will.
The loss of the land, the destruction of life, and the 14 years of bloody struggle are the most painful memories of the Chinese nation. In order to drive out the aggressors, the Chinese people have experienced an extremely arduous struggle, and forty million people have jointly created with their blood and lives the spectacle in the history of war, the feats of the Chinese nation, and the earth-shaking great cause.
For this history soaked in blood and fire, any slight frivolity is a harm to national feelings and will inevitably face the most demanding scrutiny of the audience.
Second, the bad reviews are not because the actors are young and handsome, but because of the inherent needs of the market, which is definitely not the routine of idol dramas.
Objectively speaking, film and television dramas are literary and artistic works and cultural products, and it is understandable to increase ratings and pursue the maximization of interests through traffic stars, youth inspiration, love-hate entanglement, and "cool feeling" plots.
But this does not mean that the routines of these youth idol dramas are the only demand of the market, especially in the theme of the War of Resistance. There is only one secret to winning word of mouth and ratings in those successful anti-war dramas: the patriotic feelings that reflect the rise and fall of the world and the responsibility of the people, the national integrity of treating death as a homecoming and preferring to die unyieldingly, the heroic spirit of not fearing violence and fighting to the end, and the belief in victory that is indomitable and persevering - this is the spirit of the War of Resistance, the core demand of Chinese audiences for anti-war works.
No matter what routine is used, the anti-war drama without the spirit of the war of resistance has no soul and will inevitably be unable to meet people's spiritual needs, which is the most basic market law.
Third, the bad reviews are not because "this audience is not good", but because they have not found the direction of the development of the times.
Honestly, ninety-nine percent of the audience that gave unanimously bad reviews weren't "professionals," didn't understand directing, screenwriting, and acting, and hadn't even seen what the real crew worked like.
But this does not mean that as a "professional" you are entitled to accuse the audience of "you do what you do", "not pragmatic to follow the trend" and "hasty conclusions". It is true that there are many great works in history that are ahead of the times and were once incomprehensible, but obviously, this drama is difficult to enter the list of "great". Excellent literary and artistic works can run in front of the people and lead life forward with their most inspiring achievements, but now, the work falls behind the people, and when the people want to push it forward, it is put on a shelf.
Film and television literature and art has never been pleasing to the eye, nor has it ever been a luxury for experts to play with; it is rooted in the people, serves the people, reflects the character and spiritual atmosphere of the times, despises the criticism put forward by the people, despises the opinions put forward by the people, and loses the foundation on which it depends for its survival.
If it cannot represent the style of an era and cannot lead the atmosphere of an era, it can only be ruthlessly abandoned by the times.
