Purple Mountain Observatory: In November, Tianyu "Stars Holding the Moon" will stage a number of starry sky blockbusters

author:Bright Net

According to the news of the Purple Mountain Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences on the 1st, many astronomical blockbusters such as moon cover Venus, double star with the moon, and lunar eclipse will be brilliantly "released" in November. The moon is surrounded by stars and "sings the protagonist" this month.

On the evening of November 8, venus appeared in tianyu. At that time, the moon will "pass" in front of Venus, "deliberately" obscuring the bright Venus. This celestial phenomenon can be seen in Northeast China, the Korean Peninsula, and Japan. Not in the area of the occult zone, the visible angle is very close to the Venus conjunction moon.

According to astronomers, the brightness of Venus this month has reached magnitude -4.7, which is very bright. It is the fourth day of the tenth month of the lunar calendar, and the crooked moon and the shining Venus will slowly rise in the southwest sky. Interested members of the public can use binoculars or small telescopes to observe Venus and the Moon .

On the evening of November 11, the Moon will travel between Saturn and Jupiter, forming a binary moon. If the weather is good, the public can enjoy the astronomical beauty of these three bright celestial bodies "on the stage together" with the naked eye.

Known as the "King of Meteor Showers", the Leo Meteor Shower will be extremely large on November 17. However, due to the "eye-catching" of the full moon, bright moonlight will cause strong interference to the observation of meteor showers. In addition, the Leo meteor shower did not predict a large-flow explosion, so it is not recommended for observation.

This month's most anticipated celestial phenomenon, the partial lunar eclipse, will be unveiled on November 19.

The lunar eclipse is larger, reaching 0.978, which is very close to the total lunar eclipse, and the observation conditions are better. Globally, the lunar eclipse can be seen in densely populated areas such as eastern Asia, North America, and South America.

Most of China is within the range of the eclipse moonrise, and only parts of the western parts are not visible. Specifically, the partial eclipse of the month will usher in the first loss at 15:18 Beijing time on the 19th, reach the eclipse at 17:03, and resume at 18:47, with a total of 3 hours and 29 minutes. Due to the long duration of the partial lunar eclipse and its occurrence at sunset, the Chinese people do not have to stay up late to observe this wonderful celestial phenomenon.
