In this regard, Songxi County started from the three articles of tea culture, tea industry and tea technology, and empowered the development of the industry with science and technology, culture and brand.

Ecological tea becomes the "golden signboard"

Songxi is named after its greenery and is the first state-level ecological county in northern Fujian. In the county's tea gardens, the organic certification area is 6,500 mu, and the implementation of green food certification area will reach 35,000 mu. Chaping Township is the largest tea-producing area in Songxi County, with a total tea output of 3,780 tons last year, accounting for one-third of the county, with an output value of 460 million yuan.

"Building an ecological tea garden, weight loss and medicine have become the only way for the tea industry to upgrade." Jiao Xuezhen, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Chaping Township, said that before the simple pursuit of yield, trees and grasses were difficult to survive, destroying the ecological circle of Chashan Mountain. As early as 2008, the local government realized the importance of building ecological tea gardens.

Starting from the selection of the core area of 10,000 acres of contiguous tea planting, a "green revolution" was implemented locally. Jiao Xuezhen introduced that in accordance with the requirements of "wearing hats on the top of the mountain, knotting belts on the mountainside, and wearing shoes at the foot of the mountain", promoting the ecological planting mode of "planting trees in the garden and leaving grass on the ladder wall", planting more than 600 tree shelter forests such as ziwei, cherry blossoms, and bougainvillea, and planting more than 8,000 square meters of green manure such as baixi grass and pyrethroids in the ladder wall to increase the biodiversity of the tea garden. At the same time, relying on the green prevention and control of tea garden diseases and insect pests and other measures guided by the team of Chen Zongmao, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the application of solar wind-powered insect catching lamps, traceable video surveillance systems and other scientific and technological means to replace chemical fertilizers with organic fertilizers and ensure the quality of tea.

"We also transferred party members from the townships, set up a weight loss and pill publicity team, patrol team, and three tours of the tea mountains in January to demonstrate and drive farmers to change their original production habits." Jiao Xuezhen said.

Today, 10,000 acres of tea mountains have been built into a sample of ecological tea mountains in the county. With the reputation of ecological tea, tea farmers have also tasted the sweetness, and last year, the average increase in tea mountains per mu increased by about 600 yuan. "The family built a new house, bought a new car, and got rich by earning tea." Zhao Biying, a tea farmer in Chaping Village, said that relying on more than 20 acres of tea mountains, the family's annual income exceeds 100,000 yuan, and his son who works outside the country also returns to his hometown to help grow tea.

The front-end green planting model has been promoted, and the pace of back-end cleaner production has also accelerated. Relying on the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Finance's "Green Cycle High-quality and Efficient Characteristic Agriculture (Tea Industry) Promotion Project", after 3 years of reform, 8 local tea enterprises have completed the cleaning transformation of factories, the construction of withered houses, and put into use the production line, making clean production a reality.

This change, Chen Guoai, the head of Zhanfeng Tea Industry Company who has been making tea for 41 years, has a deep understanding, from the orientation of increasing production to the orientation of quality improvement, and ecology has become the core competitiveness of enterprises. "Last year, Songxi green tea and black tea were successively included in the European Geographical Indications Agreement Protection List, which promoted the export of Songxi tea to Europe. Green ecology has become the brightest golden signboard in the Songxi tea industry. Chen Guoai said.

Thanks to this green business card, Songxi County's export tea is maintained at about 2,000 tons per year, and the products are sold to Africa, Japan, South Korea, the United States, the European Union and other countries and regions; 7,000 tons of tea are sold domestically, more than 5,000 people are engaged in tea circulation work, and a leaf brings a rich party.

Let culture empower tea

"If it is a new variety of Kowloon Great White, the purchase price of tea green this year will reach 360 yuan per kilogram, and the price will be several times more than other varieties." Tea farmer Zhao Biying's heart wants to change the seeds, it is the better quality and higher efficiency of the local excellent tea plant varieties Kowloon Dabai.

Kowloon White is a white tea variety unique to Songxi. In the 1960s, its mother tree was discovered by county tea technicians, and because it was cultivated in Jiulonggang, Shuangyuan Village, Zhengdun Town, it was named "Jiulong Tea". In 1998, it was approved as a provincial excellent tea variety, and in 2009, Kowloon White Tea was included in the provincial excellent germplasm resources protection directory.

Breeding excellent new varieties is the first card of Songxi to start the tea brand. The county has set up a special fund for the tea industry of 10 million yuan to expand the planting of 3,000 acres of Large White Tea in Kowloon, allowing leading enterprises to create brands and change the situation of word-of-mouth and no name brand. "In the past few years, Kowloon Dabai has won many honors such as provincial famous tea in participating in tea competitions such as provincial famous tea competitions and Chinese tea cups, and has made a name for itself in the industry." In Chaping Township, more than 1,000 acres of Jiulong Dabai were expanded. "We originally produced black tea and green tea, and most of the products were produced to the supply chain, lacking brand awareness. In recent years, I have begun to do my own brand, and it is precisely with the Kowloon White as a breakthrough. Chen Guoai said that he is responsible for the tea making process and keeps the brand's "Lizi". And his son, Chen Xingliang, the "post-90s", is the "face" of the brand with culture as the brand and innovative. "I quoted the 'Flying Like a Surprise, Like a Dragon' in 'Roselle' to name the Kowloon Silver Needle, and the market response was very good. Cultural empowerment is the second card played by Songxi's brand strategy. "Songxi was once the main producer of Songluo tea, occupying an important place in the history of Chinese green tea, and the Chamlu culture and tea culture represented by Ou Yezi are rich, which can not only enhance the connotation and recognition of the Songxi tea brand, but also provide conditions for the integration of tea culture and tourism."
