The establishment of a professional forest fire fighting team is an important part of strengthening the construction of the forest fire prevention system, and an important measure to improve the ability of disaster prevention, mitigation and relief, maintain public safety, and ensure the safety of people's lives and property and ecological security. The provincial party committee and the provincial government attach great importance to the construction of the forest fire protection professional team, and in November 2019, the executive meeting of the provincial government studied and issued the "Opinions on Strengthening the Construction of the Forest Fire Professional Team in the Province", requiring 13 key forest fire prevention cities such as Jinan and Qingdao to set up a municipal forest fire brigade of 50 to 100 people, and each key forest fire prevention county (city, district) set up a county-level forest fire squadron of not less than 50 people, which is mainly responsible for the forest fire fighting task within its jurisdiction. Uniform allocation and use throughout the province as needed.
In order to actively do a good job in the formation of the forest fire fighting professional team, the Provincial Emergency Response Department and the Provincial Fire Rescue Corps have successively issued the "Implementation Plan for the Construction of the Provincial Forest Fire Fighting Professional Team" and the "Implementation Plan for the Recruitment of Full-time Forest Firefighters in the Province", in accordance with the principle of "both specialized and regular, combined with peacetime and wartime, and rapid response", after nearly 2 years of formation, it has been built into a forest fire professional team that is "loyal to the party, strict discipline, going to the soup and fighting the fire, and serving the people wholeheartedly", "ensuring the focus and radiating the surroundings" The forest fire emergency rescue system was initially completed. The newly formed contingent implements unified management, unified command, 24-hour duty preparation, and front stationing to ensure that the key moments are pulled out and the battle is won. Newly recruited personnel are trained first and then taken to work, and regularly organize operational training and emergency drills. Each team should study the preparations for forest fire fighting and rescue according to local conditions, and carry out patrols during the fire prevention period, and in case of fire, they can deal with it in time. Up to now, 4,010 forest firefighters have been recruited, and a total of 206.8 million yuan has been invested at all levels for the purchase of rescue equipment such as personnel carriers, wind fire extinguishers, and water pumps, which basically meets the needs of forest fire fighting in the province.
In addition, state-owned forest farms and key townships (streets) for forest fire prevention and extinguishing have also set up a fire extinguishing team of more than 25 people, which can effectively deal with the initial fire of forest fires.
