It is understood that Liu Chao in the 30 years of front-line criminal technology career, has always been based on actual combat, adhere to independent innovation, has achieved a number of breakthrough, original research results, personally won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award 4, of which 3 ranked first, is the main founder of China's forensic genetics, the main initiator of DNA database construction and the main developer of domestic DNA reagents.
In recent years, Liu Chao has focused on the key core technology of "card neck", which completely relies on imports for key reagents for forensic DNA testing, achieved a major breakthrough from "following the run" to "leading the way", creatively solved key technical problems, and achieved the international advanced level of 2 achievements, which played an important role in solving difficult domestic cases.
It is reported that in 2016, in order to promote the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy and the strategy of strengthening the province with talents, and to encourage talents to innovate and start a business, Guangdong Province promulgated and implemented the "Guangdong Nanyue Outstanding Contribution Award and Nanyue Innovation Award Selection and Reward Measures (Trial)", which are selected by the provincial party committee and the provincial government every two years.
