Is | film critics toys or garbage? Take a look at the life lessons that Toy Story 4 teaches us

Recently, "Toy Story 4" was released, attracting the attention of many children and big friends.

Suddenly, it has been 9 years since the release of the last "Toy Story" series of movies. Compared to other relatively prolific animated film series, Pixar's Toy Story is really a slow work.

This summer, when I saw Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Trish, Mr. Egghead, Mrs. Egghead, Spring Dog, Hugging Dragon and other toys on the big screen again, a nostalgic wind came to the face. With the popularity of smart devices, children are now more accustomed to seeing mobile phones and computer games with beautiful pictures and cool drawing styles. For the "new generation", these toys may be "old".

But what exactly does a toy appeal to a child? In the game, what kind of happiness and growth have people gained? In this animated film, Pixar discusses with us sincerely about companionship, love, and value choices.

When garbage has "life" becomes a toy

Recently, garbage sorting has been one of the hottest topics in the city. In the latest "Toy Story 4", the important role of the new home " Forky " is a "garbage".

Strictly speaking, the fork is a disposable fork spoon that has already fulfilled its mission, lying quietly in the kindergarten garbage can waiting to be taken away. However, by chance, it is pushed by the protagonist of the guardian lord, Sheriff Woody, in front of the new owner, the little girl Bonnie.

It turned out that that day was the first time Bonnie left her parents to go to kindergarten, timid and shy, she could not adapt immediately in the new environment, and when the other children were making friends and doing crafts together, she was left alone, sitting at the small table by herself. Woody, who was hiding in Bonnie's bag, saw the "crisis" Woody immediately sneak out, and with a clever move, put the paintbrush, fork and other small objects in the trash can in front of the little master. Subsequently, Bonnie made them into a handmade toy with eyes, hands and feet, and named them forks. Forks and forks also became Bonnie's favorite and cherished toy.

Interestingly, when Fork forks came home and found themselves for the first time in front of a crowd of toys that they had "life" to speak, blurted out the word "Trash", that is, garbage, and then jumped into the trash can. For forks, although they are given life, their self-perception is obviously "garbage" rather than "toys". This kind of cognition can not be reversed by a single notification of others, for a long time, forks and forks feel that the garbage can is their "home", and being with the little master is a kind of "kidnapping". In the process, Woody and Fork fork engaged in a "tug-of-war" and gave a lot of jokes. It wasn't until Woody told Fork everything about his happy days with his former owner, Andy, that the latter had a clearer idea of what he was now.

The film here actually asks the audience a question: what is garbage, what is a toy? We all say that garbage is a misplaced resource, and in the movie, forks are one such example. When it was made by Bonnie and poured with love and trust, it was no longer a disposable fork spoon with physical properties, but a beloved toy. In the understanding of her parents, Bonnie's love for forks may be only three minutes of heat, but Woody, who witnessed Bonnie's tears in kindergarten, knows that this is not the case. Therefore, he has always had a sense of responsibility, even if he risked not being able to return home, he had to jump out of the car and bring the fork back to his master.

What are the toys a child needs? Is it the coolest look and function? Maybe not. Many times, children are full of affection for a toy because it gives it companionship when it is lonely, gives itself courage when it is timid, and witnesses its own growth in repeated exchanges. In the end, the preciousness of the toy is not the price, but that it carries the softest and innocent part of the child's heart, participating in the wonderful stories that the children tell themselves.

Obviously, the birth of the fork carries such a value. After a series of adventures, when it can finally face other toys, especially to the new partner who also "turned waste into treasure" and say "Toy" instead of Rush, I believe that many people will be like me, can't help but smile and accept this toy education class given by Pixar.

Find the right person at the right time and place

For animated films, shaping a villain is not an easy task.

Most of the villains are actually very "routine", nothing more than being disappointed, abandoned, unattainable or hated by love. They are often villains because they are too obsessed to turn pity into hate. What is surprising is that this time, the "villain" doll Gaby in "Toy Story 4", although he could not stage several "duels" with the protagonists because of his request, Pixar's overall treatment did not let him fall into the trap of destruction after the madness.

Gaby is a vocal doll living in a second-hand antique shop, a companion doll specially designed for little girls to live together, but has not been brought home by the right owner. In her conception, she didn't live the life she deserved because of a problem with the built-in sounder, so when she saw that Woody, who accidentally broke into the antique shop, had a perfect sounder in his body, she was bent on snatching it away and taking back "her own opportunity to be taken away." In the first half of the "Showdown Between Good and Evil", she staged a cunning and violent drama like almost all villains, and finally succeeded. The movie obviously didn't make it so easy for her to get her wish.

After getting the voice emitter, Gaby felt refreshed and lay down beautifully, waiting for the perfect master in his heart to notice her and take her home. But contrary to her wishes, the little girl quickly got tired of seeing her presence and threw her casually when she left. To be honest, at that moment I felt heartbroken—how uncomfortable it was to get a love that even if I hurt other toys, I was finally disappointed in this way, and my hopes were disappointed.

At this time, Woody stepped forward. Fortunate to grow up with his former master Andy, he not only did not blame Gaby, but deeply sympathized with her suffering. There are so many toys that have been abandoned because of some breakage and malfunction, don't they deserve to be loved and watched? No, they just haven't found a suitable home yet.

Where did Gaby end up? Not to the house of her master, Bonnie, as Woody had expected, but on the way, she met a little girl who was lost at the playground and was helpless. With the help of her friends, Gaby came to the little girl and then pulled the sounder again, making a "Gaby befriend you" sound. After seeing this doll that was also single, the little girl suddenly plucked up the courage to think, "I want to protect you and take you to find your parents", and then asked the staff who passed by for directions and found her parents. In this way, Gaby found the right person at the right time and place.

In this storyline, the film once again tells us in front of the screen: every toy deserves to be loved, and every toy can play its own value when appropriate. How cheesy, but how healing.
