The source of this wave of calories is a calligraphy work collected by the Henan Museum - "Dong Qichang Xingshu Linyang Ningshi < Leek Flower Thesis > Album".
This is the Ming Dynasty calligrapher and painter Dong Qichang's 1634 study work, the original post author is the fifth generation of calligrapher Yang Ningshi, "Leek Flower Thesis" is a letter of thanks written by Yang Ningshi with his heart, but it ranks among the best in the history of legal books, followed by Wang Xizhi's "Orchid Pavilion Preface", Yan Zhenqing's "Sacrifice Nephew Manuscript", Su Shi's "Cold Food Post", Wang Xun's "Boyuan Thesis", and was rated as the fifth line of the world!

Isn't the joy of flashing each stroke the joy of friends feeding each other in our daily lives?
This famous paper post more than a thousand years ago, a handful of leek flowers, as a testimony of the delicious taste of leeks, its radiation has never stopped, it carries the fragrance of leeks from the distant five generations to the north and south of the river, branches and leaves, all the way flowing, always unswerving. I believe that no one who comes to this work can let the taste buds of leeks with lamb enjoy only on paper. Maybe Dong Qichang couldn't resist the temptation of delicious food when he was in the post.

Fortunately, the calligraphers and painters of the past generations "never fell behind in any movement to reminisce about the ancient style." And the generation of grandmaster Dong Qichang who set off the trend of "imitating the ancient" in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties was an iron fan of Yang Ning's style, and his temporary study works of "Leek Flower Thesis" were not only collected by the Henan Museum, but they were not copies of the original works, but were linbens that penetrated a new personality and style after hundreds of years of metabolism. They are classic retrospectives, aesthetic reorganizations, masters and masters on paper across time and space, and the sparks they collide with connect the past, the present and the future...

The Henan Museum has another long volume of Dong Qichang's cursive writing, word after word, and the loose and loose cloth white between lines is undoubtedly influenced by the "Leek Flower Post". Perhaps Dong Qichang wanted to use the "Leek Flower Post" to open the time machine and look for Yang Ning's figure in the afternoon of waking up one after another, and only then did he have the sentence "I want to see the day sleepers rise up, and Mai Guangpu writes autumn yin"...
Yang Ningshi, who can write the fifth line of the world's book, is not only a calligrapher of the palace level, but also a key hub in the history of calligraphy, and at the same time, he is also a "madman"!
He was born at the end of the declining Tang Dynasty, missed the splendid Tang Dynasty, and spent most of his life in five generations shrouded in the atmosphere of decay. In the nearly fifty years of his career, he went through The Tang, Later Liang, Later Tang, Later Jin, Later Han, and Later Saturday Dynasties, fifteen emperors, and changed twenty-five posts. If he says, "I've walked more roads than you've eaten salt," I don't think anyone would refute it.
Although Yang Ningshi was a native of Shaanxi, he came to Luoyang from Chang'an with the eastward migration of the imperial court in the late Tang Dynasty, and settled here, and Luoyang became his second hometown. In this era of rising soldiers and political turmoil, the decline of calligraphy and the lack of calligraphers are in stark contrast to the stars of the Tang Dynasty. Yang Ning's emergence has supported the face of the five generations of calligraphy. Su Shi once complained about the five generations of calligraphy: "The characters are withering, the literary style is flowing, the floor is swept away, and the handwriting of Du Yang Gongning is unique." Huang Tingjian pushed Yang Ningshi more poetically, comparing him to Wang Xizhi, a benchmark of calligraphy:
"The people of the world have learned the Lan Pavilion noodles, and they want to exchange all bones for gold."

On the day that Yang Ningshi was admitted to the Jinshi, there was no unexpected surprise, and in his outstanding family, which had been the prime minister and heavy subject of the Tang Dynasty for several generations, entering the Shi seemed to be an inevitable path. It is only strange that he was born at the wrong time, the country is not right, full of passion, talent and energy, he just joined the company, he faced the storm that his ancestors had not experienced - changing dynasties.
When he looked at his father, Yang Shi, the former prime minister of the Tang Dynasty, took the national seal and prepared to leave from Luoyang to hand it over to Zhu Wen, the terminator of the Tang Dynasty, the irrepressible anger surged into his heart, and he quickly stepped forward to stop his father and said: "The country has fallen to this point, you are not without responsibility, and now you want to hand over the national seal to others for your own glory and wealth, how many infamy you will bear in thousands of years!" This remark made Yang Shi shudder, he regretted not telling his son that there were Zhu Wen's eyeliner lurking everywhere in the house, these "real-time monitoring" did not even have blind spots, he gritted his teeth and trembled and reprimanded Yang Ningshi: "You are going to destroy my clan!" ”
In the next few days, the creepy phrase "cutting the grass and removing the roots" lingered in Yang Shi's mind. Looking at his father, who had been looking confused and frustrated for several days, Yang Ningshi suddenly realized that his unabashed words would bring unpredictable disasters to the family, and in order to eliminate everyone's fear and the suspicion of the authorities, he began to pretend to be crazy. When the limelight passes, the madness of forgery disappears again...
In any case, he gained the peace of the whole family by pretending to be crazy, and Yang Ningshi also followed Yang Shi as a high-ranking official in Houliang, riding the wind all the way. This is the beginning and end of Yang Ning's "feint madness" in the "Five Dynasties History Supplement". However, Sima Guang's account in the Zizhi Tongjian is somewhat at odds with this. According to Sima Guang's research, Yang Ningshi did not suffer a single madness during his sixteen years in the Liang Dynasty.
Probably not when it's time to "go crazy"...
No one ever thought that Hou Liang's life was only a short period of ten years, and then it was replaced by Later Tang. At this time, Yang Ningshi was more than half a hundred years old, and after all, he could not jump out of the limitations of the times, and when he fell into a similar situation again, the words that his father had said to his family in the past echoed in his ears: "I can't get rid of this snare, and the disaster will be over... It may be a burden for you." Now that the wish of the eternal fang has long been shattered, for him, every time he changes dynasties, he adds an extra layer of nets, and the more nets there are, the more narrow his personality will be. Born in a chaotic world, his life is as thin as paper, reputation, dignity, ideals, achievements seem insignificant, not to mention that there is a huge family behind him, he has never been able to stand alone...
Under the harsh moral and ethical standards of the past, "there is no room for flexibility for the weakness and imperfection of real human nature", and more people choose to swim between birth and life.
Yang Ningshi, an outstanding senior veteran employee is the most popular role in stabilizing the government, his career path is seamlessly integrated in the Later Tang Dynasty, and he was assigned an important position in the imperial court, responsible for drafting edicts, counseling the state government, what a high position of authority! But Yang Ningshi couldn't get up, the city government, insight, block barrier, and operation in his chest all drove him to stay away from the political whirlpool, and he also had sufficient wisdom to resolve the contradiction between survival and spiritual freedom, that is, to "find a heart disease to quit", that is, to pretend to be crazy and not to go to the dynasty. The leader can only hehe, change his post, transfer to the History Museum, he can come back to work steadily...
Zeng Guopan said: "The world is clumsy, and it can win the world to be clever", in history, Ji Kang, Sun Bing, Sima Yi, Tang Xuanzong Li Chen, and so on, there were many people who pretended to be crazy to avoid disasters, and even Wang Wei took laxatives in advance and avoided death by pretending to be dumb when Chang'an fell. Yang Ningshi's life after the style was swirled between madness and reality, and there were frequent records in the historical records that he "gave up with a heart disease" and "excused himself from the old", but he never ruined his career, and cleverly avoided various tricky political events.
When Shi Jingyao colluded with the Khitan to rebel, the late Tang Emperor ordered Yang Ningshi to go out with him, but at this time, the Later Tang was already in a mess, Yang Ningshi had already smelled the death of the dynasty, and quickly determined his situation, so the trick was repeated, shouting in the military camp, and was sent back to Luoyang, of course...
His "madness" has precipitated into a normal state in everyone's mind, and it is not worth the fuss.
Yang Ning's pretentious madness is like a "golden bell cover" that makes him constantly stage desperate encounters in the thorn array. Unconsciously, the half-hundred, flower armor, and elderly years that were once thought to be very far away fell behind them in the blink of an eye. Most of the time in the Later Jin, Later Han, and Later Zhou Dynasties, he hung up his false titles, lived idly in the area of Yishui and Luoyang, traveled between the mountains of Xiting, the blue sky and white clouds, and did not delay in receiving wages, but he was not rich.
He understood in his heart that the constant emergence of the new dynasty as a defect was a historical existence that could never be shaken off, and he had completely lost the opportunity to win praise in the history of youth. He didn't even intend to leave anything behind in the history of calligraphy, although calligraphy was the most ideal way to release his contradictory life, but he did not like to write on paper, and he dedicated all the ink to the Large and Small Monks and Temples in Luoyang.
It is said that as soon as he saw the polished temple wall, his eyes lit up, and he was full of pride, "leading the pen and waving, and chanting and writing, and the pen and the gods meeting", until the writing filled the wall, and there was no sign of fatigue. Over time, Yang Ning's inscription wall in the Buddhist temple has become a beautiful landscape in Luoyang, and many temples have rushed to paint the walls, prepare pen and ink, and wait for Master Yang to come. He also lived up to expectations, writing about the walls of more than two hundred temples in Luoyang.
It's just that the handwriting on these walls, which can't withstand the thousand-year-old wind and rain and war, has gradually turned into a legend of the soul of the calligraphers of later generations, and what remains now is the ruler he does not like to make: "Leek Flower Post", "Summer Hot Post", "Immortal Living Law", which makes us look forward to the Law of The Law of Singing, either eating leeks or sending monks to spend summer drinks, or the method of health massage, all of which are full of naïve romance and fireworks. And the most impressive calligraphy since ancient times has always been the place to show secular emotions and true sorrow, joy and bitterness.

They all say that the words are like their people, and these letters are as good as they are, and every word with sound and color seems to have its own voice effect, playing his directness, humor, grotesqueness and wildness. The Yang Ningshi I read is not a pessimist who can't be talked about with a full belly manuscript, he is full of vitality and great interest. Once, when he was returning to Luoyang from Kaifeng on a business trip, just in time for a large number of locusts to arrive here, he sent a poem to the local magistrate, saying: "Escort the locusts to Luojing, and he will meet the county from afar." It means "I'm coming with locusts, and you can't go out of town to meet me." He also always thought that the carriage was moving too slowly, so he jumped off the carriage and laughed at the crowd on foot... Looking at the old anecdotes that he was exposed, the piles and pieces are the truest background of his life.
If you can travel back to Luoyang more than a thousand years ago, in a certain temple, through the bustling crowd, you may be able to see Yang Ningshi with full hair, wearing simple clothes, immersed in the world of the Law Book, as if what flows at the end of the pen is not ink but emotion, and in the confusion of light and shadow, a trace of relict and independent loneliness flashed between his eyebrows, and soon disappeared into his windy and rainy brushstrokes.
In that era when his faith collapsed, neither his life nor his calligraphy followed suit, he came and went with pleasure in the path of his mastery...
