On October 22nd, the 20th "Chinese Bridge" World University Chinese Competition Global Finals was held in the cloud. This year, more than 70,000 players from five continents participated in the overseas preliminary round, and over the past few months, 125 players from 101 countries and 111 divisions have been shortlisted for the global finals. After a series of selections from the Global Finalists, continental breakouts and continental championships, Tengis Munkhbaatar from Asia, Mounchili Mohamed Dair from Africa, Pavel Arkhipov from Europe, Kendall Kracke from the Americas, and John Beijen from Oceania became the champions of the five continents and advanced to the global finals. At the finals, through the competition of objective multiple choice questions, subjective expression questions and "peak duels", Li Xiaoyu from the United States won the global championship of this "Chinese Bridge" competition.
The competition was presided over by Zhu Xun, host of CCTV, Zhao Yang, professor and dean of the School of Chinese As a Foreign Language Education of Peking University, Ju Ping, host of CCTV, and Zhu Lian, Chinese promotion ambassador, as judges.
In the first session, three post-95s Chinese young people introduced China's manned spaceflight industry, Sanxingdui ruins, and giant panda national park through video clips. Contestants answered questions by watching short videos. The interactive session during the quiz was very interesting, and when asked what food they would bring to space, avocados, hot pots, sausages, and potatoes became the first choice of the contestants.
The second session of the speech was titled "I and the Chinese Bridge", and the contestants told their fate with the "Chinese Bridge". In his speech, Tengus expressed his gratitude for the "Chinese Bridge". Pavel looks forward to everyone getting together in China as soon as possible and eating an authentic Sichuan hot pot. Li Xiaoyu introduced her experience of participating in the "Chinese Bridge" twice, and thanked the "Chinese Bridge" for not only allowing her to experience the rich and colorful Chinese culture, but also gaining precious friendship. Liu Zhaoang talked about his efforts and persistence in the dream of "Chinese Bridge", and choked up at one point in his speech.
After two links of competition, Tengus and Li Xiaoyu entered the "peak showdown". Based on the score ranking in the second round, the two contestants take turns answering questions. In the end, Li Xiaoyu slightly won the world championship of the 20th "Chinese Bridge" World Collegiate Chinese Competition.
During the competition, liu zhengxi, Lena and Kim Eun-chi, former players of "Chinese Bridge", brought a recitation performance of "I Walked Across the Chinese Bridge" on the spot, telling their Chinese learning experience and expressing their blessings for "Chinese Bridge". Dashan, an old friend of "Chinese Bridge", made a special appearance to send blessings to the contestants.

All the players of this year's "Chinese Bridge" sang the theme song of "Chinese Bridge" in the clouds to send blessings for the 20th anniversary of "Chinese Bridge".
In the past 20 years, more than 1.4 million young students from more than 150 countries have participated in the "Chinese Bridge" competition. Teenagers of different countries and different nationalities have forged Chinese together to build a "bridge of language, culture, friendship and soul", as Li Xiaoyu said in the competition: "The 'Chinese bridge' is like a bridge, building this shore and the other shore."
