In February 1888, Vincent van Gogh came to Al, and although he was full of sorrow and doubts about life and ideals, his mood was much calmer than before because his health was being restored. He traveled to the south and found that not only was the scenery beautiful, but even the shape and clothing of the people were beautiful, so he rented a room upstairs in a small hotel, and went out every day to paint, to paint cafes, to paint streets and alleys, to paint parks, seas and ships. This "Blooming Peach Blossom" is one of the countless outstanding landscape paintings of this period. Vincent van Gogh also wrote in a letter to a friend: "Since I came here, I began to feel that I had completely changed, that I was no longer the same person I used to be. I no longer have doubts about what I have done, but I hope that this mood can be saved. Between the lines, it reveals the love for Al.

"Blooming Peach Blossoms" is also known as "In Memory of Mof". It was painted in 1888 by Van Gogh in honor of his deceased cousin Mao Wei.
In a letter to Theo, Van Gogh wrote: "I placed the easel in the orchard and painted an oil painting in the outdoor light—a lilac farmland, a reed fence, two rose-red peach trees, lined with a bright blue and white sky. This is probably the best landscape I've ever painted.
"As soon as I brought the painting back, I received a notice from my sister to mourn Anton Maowei. Something (I don't know what it was) grabbed me and gagged my throat, and I wrote on my painting: In Memory of Mauve, Vincent and Theo.
"If you agree, we will give it to Mrs. Mawe in this name." I don't know what they're going to say about the painting, but it doesn't matter.
"I thought that everything that commemorates Mao Wei must be both kind and pleasant, and not with the slightest sad tone (there is no sad tone in this painting).
"Do not think that the deceased is dead;
"As long as someone lives, the dead live.
"That's how I know the problem. Nothing hurt me more than this news. His passing away was a terrible blow to me. "
