Liu Xin, a member of the Kunming Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, is the executive vice president of the Yunnan Catering and Gastronomy Industry Association, she focuses on making the catering industry bigger and stronger, and strives to promote the high-quality development of Diancai enterprises, pouring a lot of hard work and sweat, and has been working for 18 years.

Over the years, with the participation of Liu Xin's active consultation organization, the Yunnan Catering and Gastronomy Industry Association has actively promoted Dian cuisine to go out of Yunnan and go abroad, and cooperated with government departments to hold a series of food culture diplomatic activities such as "Sensing China - Beautiful Yunnan" and "Myanmar Embassy Opening the Door for the New Year", the "Dian cuisine" brand has gradually become famous throughout the country, Yunnan ingredients and Dian cuisine have become more and more sought after by consumers, and a number of Dian cuisine representative enterprises have been cultivated. Liu Xin has also been awarded the title of Advanced Worker in China's Green Hotel Work, Advanced Worker in the National Commercial and Trade Circulation Service Industry, and won the Special Contribution Award for Catering Engineering in Yunnan Province.

Liu Xin believes that the catering industry is a people's livelihood industry, which has far-reaching significance for improving the happiness index of citizens. According to incomplete statistics, there are 3.8 million employees in the catering industry in Yunnan Province, and she hopes that all sectors of society will care more about and care for this group, so that they also have their own sense of professional honor and social responsibility. Food safety and nutrition health of student meals, kitchen waste disposal and other livelihood issues are the directions she has been working towards.

As a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Liu Xin actively participated in research and inspection, consultation and discussion activities, and submitted a total of 12 proposals in the past five years. At the two sessions of Kunming City in 2019, Liu Xin proposed to start the "Four Hundred" project, starting from the cultivation of the four core elements of the development of Dian cuisine, "100 Dian cuisine lecturers, 100 Famous Chefs of Dian Cuisine, 100 Famous Dishes of Dian Cuisine, and 100 Famous Restaurants of Dian Cuisine", adding new impetus to the construction of a regional international center city.

Liu Xin believes that the catering industry has the dual functions of commodity consumption and service consumption, has the characteristics of absorbing many employed people and high industrial relevance, and can effectively promote the development of planting, animal husbandry, processing and other industries, and drive cultural entertainment, tourism and leisure consumption. Therefore, it is recommended to improve the teaching level of teachers in Kunming Culinary Colleges, train 100 Dian cuisine lecturers, create an excellent team of Dian cuisine lecturers, explore the integration of industry and education, deepen school-association cooperation, school-enterprise cooperation, improve the quality of teachers and the international level of running schools, and cultivate a high-quality, high-level and high-skilled lecturer team in the catering industry; Innovate the cooking skill competition mode, train 100 Famous Chefs of Dian Cuisine with competition, increase pre-competition training, improve the skills of contestants, train and select 100 Famous Chefs of Dian Cuisine, and promote the development of the industry. In addition, she also suggested supporting the development of online video teaching of classic Dian cuisine and promoting 100 high-quality Dian cuisines; Select 100 Dian cuisine restaurants to carry out Dian cuisine training, cultivate 100 Dian cuisine famous restaurants, lead the city's brand Dian cuisine restaurants to greatly improve the quality of dishes and service quality, guide Dian cuisine famous restaurants to pay attention to service quality, pay attention to cultural connotation, enhance the taste of dishes, and optimize the sense of tasting experience for diners.

In the Spring Festival of 2020, the sudden outbreak of new crown pneumonia hit the catering industry hard. At the fourth meeting of the 13th CPPCC Kunming Municipal Committee, she made a joint speech on "How kunming's catering industry is moving towards recovery in the post-epidemic era".

This year, Liu Xin stepped down from the responsibility of the executive vice president of the association and assumed the responsibility of the president of the Yunnan Golden Hotel and Catering Association. She hopes to use her 18 years of experience in the industry, adhering to the style of "living in a good place, a good heart", to provide one-stop diagnosis and consulting training services for the province's hotel and catering industry, to help enterprises optimize and improve, and move towards the road of high-quality development.
