The reporter learned that the fourth "Cantonese Cuisine Master" skill competition came from 21 prefecture-level listings in the province and the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions, attracting a total of 23 teams and about 135 people to compete on the same stage. The competition is conducted in an individual manner, with two competition types of Chinese cooks and Chinese pastry chefs, and each competition type has two groups: Cantonese celebrity chef group and Cantonese cuisine rookie group.
Among them, the contestants in the "Celebrity Chef Group" are all skilled craftsmen of Cantonese cuisine, who not only have rich work experience, but also represent a high level of Cantonese cuisine; the contestants of the "Rookie Group" are from the full-time student elite of the province's technical colleges or vocational colleges and universities, and are the best inherited seedlings of "Cantonese Chefs"; the contestants from all over the world are selected through open registration, fierce selection or industry associations.
It is worth noting that in this competition, not only the three major cuisines of Cantonese cuisine, "Cantonese cuisine", "Chaoshan cuisine" and "Hakka cuisine" are all included, but also the three Cantonese snacks of dry stir-fried beef river, Chaoshan beef balls and Hakka pickled noodles are used as the designated competition topics for Chinese noodles.
