author:Those things before the dynasty

The Eastern Jin Dynasty was founded in 317 AD and died in 420 AD, lasting 103 years, with a total of eleven emperors, namely: Sima Rui the Yuan Emperor, Sima Shao the Ming Emperor, Sima Yan the Cheng Emperor, Sima Yue the Kang Emperor, Sima Yan the Mu Emperor, Sima Pi the Emperor of Sorrow, Sima Yi the Deposed Emperor, Sima Yu the Jianwen Emperor, Sima Yao the Emperor xiaowu, Sima Dezong the An Emperor, and Sima Dewen the Gong Emperor.

After the fall of the Western Jin Dynasty, Sima Rui, the king of Langya, fled to Jiangnan, and with the support of the local famous brothers Wang Dun and Wang Dao, he ascended the throne as emperor, still taking Jin as the national name, fixing the capital Jiankang, known in history as the Eastern Jin Dynasty, then known as the Later Jin, and Sima Rui was the Emperor of Jinyuan.

Although the Eastern Jin Dynasty was partial to the south of the Jiangsu River, the economy was still developed, and the cultural creation and art of painting and calligraphy developed unprecedentedly, and famous artists such as Xie Lingyun, Wang Xizhi, and Wang Xianzhi emerged.

Since the founding of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the imperial power has been very weak, with Wang Dun in the early stage, huan wen dictatorship in the late period, and frequent rebellions, but there were also Wang Dao, Xie An and other able ministers who were loyal to the Jin Dynasty and made important contributions to the stable development of the Eastern Jin dynasty.

The most classic military example of the Eastern Jin Dynasty is the "Battle of Shuishui", which successfully resisted the attack of the Former Qin army with a small number of troops and caused the rapid collapse and destruction of Former Qin, thanks to the strategic planning of the chancellor Xie An and the support of sima Yao, the emperor of the Jin Dynasty.

In the last year of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Liu Yu rose to the political stage of the Eastern Jin Dynasty with his military merits, deposed the Jin Emperor Sima Dewen, established himself as emperor, and the state name was Song, and the Eastern Jin Dynasty died.
