The launch ceremony of the second volume of "Xi Jinping on Governing the Country" was held in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, 23 Sep (Xinhua) -- The launch ceremony of the second volume of "Xi Jinping on Governing the Country" and the promotion meeting of the third volume of the English version were held in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, on the 23rd. The event was co-sponsored by the Information Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, the Presidential Office of Nepal, the Chinese Foreign Language Bureau and the Chinese Embassy in Nepal.

Nepalese President Bhandari attended the event and delivered a speech, and Huang Kunming, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Central Propaganda Department, delivered a video speech. Hou Yanqi, Chinese ambassador to Nepal, Batray, executive chairman of the Nepal China Research Center, and other people from all walks of life attended the activities on the same day.

In his speech, Bandari said that China has achieved unprecedented success in national governance and economic construction, which has received widespread attention from the world. Today, we hold the launch ceremony of the second volume of "Xi Jinping on Governing the Country" in Niwen, and I believe that readers will understand the miraculous development achievements of China in the past decade when reading this book, and understand President Xi Jinping's ideological theory, political views, policy guidelines and their successful practices. China's rich experience in poverty alleviation and good governance has also provided useful reference for developing countries, including Nepal.

Huang Kunming said in his speech that "Xi Jinping on Governing the Country" provides important literature for Chinese and foreign readers to understand and grasp Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era. This idea is the theoretical crystallization of adhering to the integration of the basic principles of Marxism with China's specific reality and with China's excellent traditional culture, a program of action for realizing the aspirations of the Chinese people for a better life, providing scientific guidance for the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country, and contributing Chinese wisdom to promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. We will take this event as an opportunity to thoroughly implement the important consensus reached by the heads of state of China and Nepal, continuously deepen people-to-people exchanges, promote traditional friendship, and make positive contributions to building a strategic cooperative partnership of friendship between China and Nepal for development and prosperity from generation to generation.

At the event site, Bandari unveiled the second volume of the Nepalese edition of "Xi Jinping on Governing the Country", and Hou Yanqi presented the second nepalese edition and the third volume of the English edition to the Nepalese guests on behalf of the Chinese side.

The Nepalese edition of the second volume of Xi Jinping on Governing the Country was translated and published by the China Foreign Language Publishing House and the Nepalese China Research Center. Up to now, the second volume of "Xi Jinping on Governing the Country" has been translated and published in 13 languages.
