Starting from April 12, the forest defense station of the county natural resources and planning bureau carried out a 20-day secondary control of the spring ruler moth. The staff used high-pressure sprayers, high-pressure fog machines, high-pressure smoke machines, and drones to spray high-efficiency cypermethrin plus chlorpyrifos for prevention and control.
The secondary control of the spring ruler moth mainly involves key forests with large insect population density on both sides of the provincial highway and on both sides of the highway, and the control area is expected to reach 5,000 mu.
Li Xiaohong, director of the forest defense station of the Natural Resources and Planning Bureau: At present, the spring ruler moth has entered the peak period of harm, and through our close follow-up investigation in recent days, the best period for prevention and control has been determined, and a prevention and control plan has been formulated to ensure the ecological safety of forestry in our county.
