The lost world | when the illusory bubble is shattered

The Lost World is a novel written by Mariko Hayashi and published by Oriental Publishing House in 2017.

Out of appreciation for "The Feast of the Commoners", I went to see its series of books, The Lost World. On the whole, "The Lost World" is different from "Civilian's Feast", telling the story of a divorced woman Sawano After the bubble economy from the perspective of interspersed memories, I don't know if it is because there is no similar experience, so it does not have a lot of resonance.

The most impressive part of the book is that at the finale, Ruizhi sees her ex-husband again, who has not been seen for a long time, and hears that her ex-husband has already married and had children. Suddenly, Ruizhi seemed to let go of everything in the past, and walked with her ex-husband to the building that symbolized her ex-husband's business tycoon, and saw that the building had become a parking lot, and everything that had once been like an illusory bubble.

Suddenly, Ruizhi did not know whether it was out of gambling or sincerity, Ruizhi told her ex-husband that she would also marry a man who was 9 years younger than her, raise her daughter together, and bear children for him.

Once a happy man, Mizue Sawano married a business tycoon, lived a rich life, gave birth to a daughter, Nichihanari, and became a happy woman who was envied by the world. All illusions are broken by witnessing her ex-husband cheat, and the subsequent divorce is described by himself as abandoned. After her ex-husband refused to pay child support for his daughter, he single-handedly took up the burden of life and regained his dream of becoming a screenwriter to raise the child alone. Under the bubble economy, the ex-husband's business empire also turned into a bubble.

Everything in the story starts with the screenwriter and gradually moves into the emotional drama with her ex-husband's friends and actors, which seems to be like a drama again.

At the end of the story, Ruizhi said, "We're young enough." I still have enough young light, and I can do it all over again..."

The ex-husband said, "Of course. ”

Standing at the age of 40, all the options are different from those of 20. The illusion of the bubble economy is like that of a 20-year-old, with some gorgeous appearance. When the bubble bursts, you can see the reality in the depths of the illusion, perhaps like a 40-year-old. Maybe living early and being true is the true meaning of this book, and you can do it all over again at any time.

There are great similarities in the Confucian cultural circles of East Asia, with Ruizhi's ex-husband saying that "Gao Lin once said that land will never betray people, and the price of land has never fallen", which may be our deep-rooted understanding rooted in the idea of small farmers, and land is the most unshakable. However, in today's market economy, everything is possible, and social stability has long been broken by the market economy. In the same way, Japan may really have some great similarities with us.

In short, I like Ruizhi's freedom, and I also want to know the story of growing up in the sunflower, which should be more exciting!
