The reporter saw at the scene that the reconstructed Tai Po Bridge has resumed its former busyness, with large trucks and passenger cars flowing endlessly on the dark road surface, and the temporary road built next to it because of construction is also being demolished.
The transformation of diseased bridges is related to the people's hearts and minds, and it is related to people's livelihood. Some bridges in the Shenzhen-Shantou Cooperation Zone have been built for a long time, the original construction standards are low, and after years of wind and rain baptism and overload operation, the carrying capacity is gradually unable to meet the needs of today's increasingly busy traffic.
In order to ensure the safety of people's lives and property and ensure the safe operation of bridges in the Shenzhen-Shantou Cooperation Zone, the Shenzhen-Shantou Administration Bureau of the Municipal Transportation Bureau entrusted professional institutions to conduct regular "physical examinations" of 54 bridges in the jurisdiction to understand the health status of bridges, check bridge diseases, and establish "one bridge and one file". The test results show that there is a large area of loose and loose masonry in the main arch circle and piers of Tai Po Bridge, and there is a trend of further development, which seriously affects the safety of the bridge structure and is rated as a class 5 dangerous bridge. The cement concrete pavement before and after the Tai Po Bridge is also in disrepair, there are many heavy vehicles, most of them have been broken and sunk, and the marking line is seriously worn, in order to ensure the smooth and safe road, it is urgent to renovate and upgrade the bridge and the connecting roads before and after.
The Shenzhen-Shantou Administration Bureau of the Municipal Transportation Bureau immediately organized on-site investigation and decided to close the traffic and dismantle and rebuild the Tai Po Bridge, considering the high traffic pressure of the road section, in order to ensure that the traffic was not interrupted during the construction period, a new temporary road was built on the east side of the Tai Po Bridge for vehicles to pass. At the same time, the 742-meter road before and after the Tai Po Bridge was transformed into a concrete subgrade asphalt pavement, and traffic safety facilities such as marking signs and guardrails were improved.
"Because the construction of the temporary road needed to occupy the farmers' fields, we went to the door many times to coordinate and communicate, explained the purpose of the road construction to the villagers, and when we did not understand our work, we repeatedly talked and won their support, and finally the temporary road was repaired, the busy road section resumed traffic, and the progress of the demolition and reconstruction project of the Tai Po Bridge was also accelerated." It is understood that the Tai Po Bridge spans the local river, 16.0m long, because the narrow road is only 7 meters wide and two lanes, coupled with the large number of heavy vehicles, the traffic and construction pressure is extremely large, the Municipal Transportation Bureau Shenzhen-Shantou Administration Bureau according to local conditions, take sections and sections of inverted side construction, and arrange personnel to relieve the command of traffic for 24 hours.
In 5 months, traffic people survived the hottest heat, withstood the typhoon and the harsh climate of the flood season, and the reconstruction of Tai Po Bridge and the front and back roads was finally completed ahead of schedule, which greatly improved the safety and comfort of the road section.
