The "Rong'an Kumquat" listed and sold before November 8 is regarded as an unqualified product, and the Rong'an County will investigate and deal with the sale of unqualified "Rong'an Kumquat" in accordance with the provisions of the "Product Quality Law" and other laws and regulations.
Rong'an County is one of the main producing areas of kumquat in the country, selected as one of the "Top 30 Counties in the National Citrus Industry", was rated as the national characteristic agricultural product advantage zone, and is the main drafting unit of the national standard of "Kumquat"; "Rong'an Kumquat" has obtained the national geographical indication certification trademark, the national geographical indication protection product and the registration and protection of the geographical indication of agricultural products of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; in 2019, it was selected as the national agricultural product regional public brand, and won the 20 most valuable regional public brand of china's fruits in 2019; "Rong'an kumquat" in 2020. Rong'an kumquat has been cultivated for nearly 300 years, and its fruit is golden, sweet and crisp, and the mouth is slaggy, sweet and delicious. "Rong'an Kumquat" was approved as a national geographical indication certification trademark in 2007, a national geographical indication product protection in 2011, and a national agricultural product geographical indication registration in 2020, and is the first batch of national geographical indications use promotion projects and the second batch of catalogue products of the China-EU Geographical Indications Protection Agreement. At the press conference, Rong'an County issued the "Rong'an Kumquat" geographical indication and the "Rong'an Kumquat" Geographical Indications Use Management Measures of Rong'an County", which clarified the management measures for the application, use, management, protection, supervision and reward of the "Rong'an Kumquat" geographical indication protection products and the special indication for the geographical indication certification trademark, and carried out all-round protection for the use of the "Rong'an Kumquat" geographical indication.
Liao Pengxiang, deputy governor of the Rong'an County People's Government, pointed out at the press conference that geographical indications are the golden signboard of "Rong'an kumquat" and a special sign that embodies the unique quality of "Rong'an kumquat". The use of the "Rong'an Kumquat" geographical indication implements a licensing system, and the use of the geographical indication must be approved by the State Intellectual Property Office for announcement or filing, and the products produced and sold must be produced within the protection scope of Rong'an County, and the product quality must meet the relevant standards. Without permission or authorization, units and individuals shall not use or forge the geographical indication of "Rong'an Kumquat", and shall not use names or logos that are similar to the "Rong'an Kumquat" geographical indication and are prone to misunderstanding, as well as word or pattern signs that may mislead consumers, so that consumers may mistook the product for a geographical indication product or a geographical indication certification trademark. For the legal users of the "Rong'an Kumquat" geographical indication, they must organize production and operation in accordance with the corresponding standards, management norms or relevant use management rules and use the geographical indication, and shall not transfer, lease, lend, or buy or sell the "Rong'an Kumquat" geographical indication, and if the special sign is not used on the geographical indication product within two years, and the product quality is unqualified after supervision and sampling, the county market supervision and administration bureau will cancel the qualification for the use of the geographical indication.
It is reported that a total of 47 enterprises in Rong'an County have been approved as special signs for Rong'an kumquat geographical indication products, 49 enterprises have obtained authorization to use the special signs for the use of Rong'an kumquat geographical indication certification trademarks, and 50 enterprises have been authorized to use the geographical indications for agricultural products of Rong'an kumquats.
