On the maintenance table, various tools such as air guns, soldering irons, and watch pens are piled up in a haphazard manner. Small to the power supply, large to the hard disk, desktop, notebook... Chen Yonggui, who started his own education, opened the third professional computer repair shop in Hangzhou in 1993, and has been dealing with the difficult diseases of computers for nearly 30 years, which can be called the "generation of grandmasters" in the computer maintenance industry in Hangzhou. In August, with the release of the Yigao Group's notice on the upgrading and transformation of the flagship store, 59-year-old Chen Yonggui decided to retire a year early and officially bid farewell to the industry.
On October 15, more than 200 merchants, including Chen Yonggui, have moved away from the once-popular Yigao flagship store. A week later, the upgrading and transformation within the Cyber City will soon begin, transforming from an obsolete professional market into a complex of "digital +" and "experience +" consumption models.

The fiery red age: A day to repair the hard disk, you can earn more than 2700 yuan
Since 2017, Chen Yonggui has changed two Mercedes-Benz in succession, the first of which is more than 900,000 and the second is 3.15 million. This is the return of focusing on computer maintenance in the past 30 years to Chen Yonggui, who admitted that he benefited from the dividends of the times and experienced the most prosperous era of computer maintenance business.
Chen Yonggui has been interested in wireless devices since childhood. After graduating from a college in Shandong majoring in radio, Chen Yonggui returned to Hangzhou in 1982 and opened a 10-square-meter shop in Nanxingqiao, specializing in the maintenance of single-chip microcomputers, which can be repaired once for 160 yuan to 170 yuan.
In 1993, Chen Yonggui moved the store to the Hangzhou Electronics Market, and the store was expanded to more than 60 square meters. At that time, computers began to rise in China, and some colleges and universities in Hangzhou would purchase computers as electronic teaching equipment. Chen Yonggui, who has a keen sense of touch, bought a second-hand computer to start studying and research, and soon mastered the ability of computer maintenance. As a result, Chen Yonggui extended his business to computer repair.
"At that time, not many people in the whole of Zhejiang Province could repair computers." Chen Yonggui remembered that many people had come to Hangzhou from other places with computers to find him.
While practicing and learning, the more problems encountered, the more Chen Yonggui felt that his skills were insufficient. Then, for two years, Chen Yonggui spent three days a week, from 6 to 10 p.m., to hangzhou university (now Zhejiang University) for night school to learn computer use and repair.
In 2000, Chen Yonggui passed the computer maintenance service qualification certificate examination and began to hold a certificate. "There were only three copies of this certificate in the entire electronic market that year." Chen Yonggui sighed and said, "Counting up, I am the third professional computer maintenance company in Hangzhou, but it is the longest, and the other two have long been not doing this business." ”
At the beginning of the 21st century, it was the heyday of the computer maintenance industry, and Chen Yonggui, who was highly skilled, naturally had a prosperous business. Every morning at 9 o'clock, Chen Yonggui just arrived at the storefront, and there were often fifteen or sixteen people waiting in line in front of the roller shutter. "If it's not a big problem, repairing a hard disk can earn 100 yuan in just 6 minutes." At the end of the day, just repairing the hard disk can earn more than 2700 yuan. ”
In 2004, due to the transformation and relocation of the Hangzhou electronics market, the famous Chen Yonggui was invited to enter the Flagship Store of Yigao, and the store was expanded to more than 100 square meters, and seven employees were hired.
Eight workstation plates, such as the motherboard maintenance area, the desktop maintenance area, the data maintenance area, the transformer maintenance area, and the audio equipment maintenance area, are lined up on the maintenance table of several meters long, and Chen Yonggui and seven masters are busy dealing with the people in front of the desk, and can repair twelve or three computers a day.
Chen Yonggui estimates that in the past 30 years, he has repaired more than 100,000 computers in his hands, and their owners are all over the country, including Anhui, Jiangsu, Henan, Guangxi, Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia and other places.

Chen Yonggui took him as an apprentice and taught him for three years. Later, the boy returned to Wenzhou and opened his own computer repair shop, "and he is still doing this business." ”
Since 1993, Chen Yonggui has brought hundreds of apprentices. Many of them have been active in the computer maintenance circle in Hangzhou to make a living, "Now there are fifteen or sixteen of my apprentices in Bainaohui. ”
Only change not repair: hardware directly change, data space kneeling for repair
From the rush to the exit, when the concept of "only changing and not repairing" gradually entered the hearts of the people, people are more and more inclined to eliminate and replace the new ones than maintenance. Computer repair began to fall into the sunset industry from a temporary boom.
Eight years ago, the "Hangzhou Agui Computer Repair Company" nearly doubled, and returned to more than 60 square meters, and the employees also dispersed, leaving Chen Yonggui alone.
With the improvement of consumption level and the impact of e-commerce, Chen Yonggui obviously feels that the computer maintenance business has gone downhill. "Especially after 2017, business has deteriorated. Now only five or six customers come to the door a day. Chen Yonggui's monthly income dropped sharply from 50,000 to 60,000 yuan in his heyday to more than 10,000 yuan.
The repair business has become particularly dependent on old customers accumulated in the past. On the day of the interview, 75-year-old Uncle Liang found Chen Yonggui with the motherboard of a desktop computer, "This radiator turned around and stopped, I didn't understand what the problem was for half a day." "Uncle Liang is a radio enthusiast who likes to fiddle with computers, and since the 1990s, whenever there is a problem with the equipment, he will come to Chen Yonggui to help repair it.
Connect the motherboard to the power, and then plug in the professional "stethoscope" - running card, ten minutes before and after, Chen Yonggui found the crux of this motherboard through the magnifying glass - mouse urine corroded the integrated circuit and resistance. Chen Yonggui once met an anxious clerk, and in a laptop he brought, a large number of records from the criminal division of the court were stored, "The trial recording should correspond to the content of the record, but the hard disk is broken, and the content of the record cannot be exported." Chen Yonggui spent two full days repairing, replacing the hard disk with a new head, and successfully recovering the data, so he earned more than 10,000 yuan.
In order to recover data, some customers have also run to Chen Yonggui's store for 14 consecutive days. Every day, when they were done partially, they brought the hard drive back and brought it back the next morning. Chen Yonggui clearly remembers that repairing the hard disk, he earned 8120 yuan.
Once, Chen Yonggui also repaired cash in the computer. It was a computer host sent by a middle-aged woman for repair, Chen Yonggui opened the chassis and found that there was an envelope wrapped in 10,000 yuan inside. "I guess it's her husband's private money. The next day, she came to get the computer, I said it has not been fixed, it is best to let the family come, I want to ask about the data inside. Chen Yonggui recalled with a smile, later, the man's husband came, and when his wife went to the bathroom, Chen Yonggui told the other party that there was ten thousand yuan in it, "He shook hands with me and made friends with me..."
There is also a space full of emotions and memories stored in the computer. "Now, most of the things that young people send for repair have stories." Chen Yonggui said. Some of these computers were sent by former lovers, and some were filled with photos of their crushes.
