Modern people look at Hemingway

New Horizons of Grassroots Influence (Edited by Kira)

It is now nearly a century since Hemingway's first novel was published. In fact, in the mid-20th century, Hemingway's novels did not sell well, but why in the 21st century, people began to care about his public and private life?

Most of the younger readers, when it comes to their favorite American writers, don't start with Hemingway. However, at present, literary critics and readers agree that the words and works used by Hemingway have deeply influenced future generations of literary scholars. Hemingway's unique writing style: bright, sharp, concise strokes, vague and suggestive descriptions, set a model for American literature and the world, just as the blues are the model of American music. Hemingway's style can be said to be the style of American literature.

Hemingway's novels, The Sun Also Rises, and A Farewell to Arms, are still required readings for American students to this day. Like his other short stories, like "The Killers" and "A Clean, Well-Lighted Place," he's recently acknowledged not to have lost out on his other novels.

Like Fitzgerro's The Great Gatsby, people's preferences for Hemingway, and Hemingway's fame, should come back to the spotlight.

Modern people look at Hemingway

Like Hemingway's work, Hemingway's private life is just as wonderful, and some people think that his life does not lose his novel. If there had been paparazzi at that time, his life must have been a target that tabloids or paparazzi liked to chase. Some literary critics have commented on Hemingway as a man, arguing that he was as kind as millions of others, but as cruel as millions of others. This means that he can treat his lover, friend, or child with kindness and cruelty at the same time.

Hemingway committed suicide in 1961, and many wonder if his suicide and absurd life as a veteran were due to post-war post-traumatic syndrome and multiple concussions.

What our descendants can only be sure of is that Hemingway was an incomprehensible literary artist, who was both loved and hated, liked and unbearable. However, just like Hemingway's works, Hemingway's influence and depth, I believe, will still prove himself, not hindered by time and history, and still loved by the world.
