Zigong ancient town thriving on salt - Xianshi, Aiye, Niufo

I have visited many ancient towns in Sichuan, and some ancient towns have been visited many times, but the memory of the ancient towns in southern Sichuan is very vague. Think about it, for so many years, I really haven't made a special trip to visit the ancient town of southern Sichuan. If you think about it carefully, it should be the following two reasons: in the past, the ancient towns in Kawauchi were mostly taken away by summer heat, not only visiting the ancient town, but also avoiding the scorching heat. The ancient town of Chuannan, which is located in the hotter summer, has lost this option. There are also many ancient towns that are played by when visiting famous mountains and rivers, ancient temples, and colorful forests, and there are obviously not many beautiful landscapes in the original ecology of southern Sichuan.

However, Chuannan does have many famous ancient towns with a long history and well-preserved, which are worth exploring and visiting. So there is this special trip to the ancient town of southern Sichuan.

Xianshi Ancient Town - the first town of salt transportation in China

At night, the lanterns are on the Zigong Expressway at the beginning of the day, driving into the Yingbin Avenue that enters the city, and the expensive tall landscape street lamps on the side of the road cannot be seen at a glance; the green belt cold light and warm spotlights in the middle of the road are interwoven into colored light and shadow, reflecting the green space and branches.

At present, all cities in China have many such expensive Yingbin Avenue, Landscape Avenue, and Industrial Avenue. Is the country really so rich? Is it really necessary to be so high-profile and luxurious?

Xianshi Ancient Town is on the edge of Zigong City, and camping in the parking lot of The Ancient Town at night.

It is a fortunate thing that this ancient town located on the fuxi river, which was built more than 1,400 years ago in the Sui Dynasty, has survived thousands of years of ups and downs and can still maintain its current appearance.

The four streets and five stacks still retain the original layout, the five temples of the Heavenly Palace, the Nanhua Palace are well preserved, and later became the Fujian Guild Hall and the Guangdong Guild Hall; the Jiangxi Temple only left the door face. The Chen Clan Ancestral Hall is well preserved. The fence gatehouses in the southeast, southwest, and northwest are still there; the docks are still there, but the scene of the prosperous salt wharf has long since dissipated into the smoke clouds of history.

Today's Xianshi Ancient Town has historical sites, indigenous people, just the right business, and fireworks worthy of praise!

Aiye Ancient Town - a place for tourism and leisure today

In history, Aiye Ancient Town was also a famous East Salt Transport Wharf, but today's Aiye Ancient Town is basically difficult to find ancient style and ancient rhyme. A road crosses the old street, and the old street buildings on both sides of the road have long since ceased to be what they used to be.

But there are many restaurants in the old street, and there are many flowers and lotus ponds around the ancient town, and there is the famous Aiye Beach, which is a good place for outings, vacations and photos.

Arrive at Niufo Ancient Town in the early evening and camp in The New Town Square opposite the Archway of the Ancient Town.

There is a proverb "nine streets and eighteen lanes, there is a cow in the middle" to describe the many alleys and dense population of Niufo Town at that time, and this ancient street layout is still well preserved today, and the famous food is Cow Buddha elbow and Cow Buddha steamer.

When I woke up in the morning, the first thing I did was to taste the Cow Buddha steamer and go to the town's famous Jiang Congming Bashi steamer.

The so-called Yidu refers to the ferry boats that travel to and from the two sides of the Tuojiang River without charging money to the ferrymen, and the costs of the ferry, ferryman, ship maintenance, etc. are borne by the local wealthy squires, merchants and governments. This kind of yidu appeared during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, and it is recorded that it lasted for more than 80 years from the Qing Tongzhi period to the 1950s.

The area of Niufo Ancient Town is very large in the ancient town, and the layout of the streets basically retains the layout of the nine streets and eighteen lanes in the proverb, and the buildings of various historical eras can be seen. Walking on the street, gazing at the mossy, imprinted or complete or ruined buildings of different periods around you, as if walking in the smoke and fog of history, the emotion of emotion is born in the heart.
