Project overview

Located about 28 kilometers downstream of Jiangyin Bridge, about 57 kilometers upstream of Sutong Bridge, and about 16 kilometers upstream of Hutong Bridge (under construction), Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge (Zhanggao Cross-River Passage) is one of the highway crossing channels planned by the National Development and Reform Commission in the "Layout Plan for the Yangtze River Trunk River Crossing Channel (2020-2035)", and is also the "Jiangsu Yangtze River Economic Belt Comprehensive Three-dimensional Transportation Corridor Planning (2018-2035)" (Su Zhengfa [2018] No. 116), " The Outline of the Regional Integration Development Plan for the Yangtze River Delta is one of the highway crossing channels planned in the Jiangsu Implementation Plan.

The Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge connects the G40 Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway in the north, the S82 Zhangjiagang Shugang Expressway in the south, and the G4221 Huwu Expressway through the Shugang Expressway, which can be used as a cross-river passage for the northern extension of the Shugang Expressway. The construction of the Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge and its wiring project will form the Rugao-Zhangjiagang Expressway, which is of great significance for implementing the national strategy for the regional integration development of the Yangtze River Delta and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, further optimizing the layout of the Yangtze River trunk line crossing channel, improving the regional skeleton road network, and promoting the construction of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration and the integrated development of the yangtze river.

Technical standards

The Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge adopts the highway standard, of which the cross-river section and the diversion bridge (such as the Gao south interchange to the Zhangjiagang North interchange) adopt two-way eight lanes, the design speed is 100 km / h, and the width of the bridge lane is 40.5 meters; the cross-strait connection section adopts a two-way six-lane, design speed of 120 km / h, and the width of the subgrade is 34.5 meters. The bridge design vehicle load class adopts highway - class I.

The project starts from the west side of Rugao Shizhuang Town and the intersection of Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway, passes south through Shizhuang Industrial Park and Rugao Port Area, crosses the Yangtze River Rugao Zhongfenfu North Waterway in Rugao Huatai Heavy Factory Area, passes through Jingjiang Minzhu Sand Island, crosses the main River Fujiang 9sha Waterway, logs on to the upstream of Zhanggao Steam Ferry, continues south along the 259 Provincial Highway Corridor, and ends at zhangjiagang Shugang Expressway Chenyang Interchange, with a total length of about 29.85km. There are three interchange interchanges, one hub and one service area on the whole line.
