On the morning of October 9, the fourth plenary (expanded) meeting of the Dingxi Road Traffic Safety Committee and the autumn and winter road traffic safety management work conference were held in the Municipal Public Security Bureau, and Li Jinqiang, vice mayor, director of the Municipal Road Safety Commission, secretary of the Party Committee and director of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, attended the meeting and made a speech.

At the meeting, the city's road traffic safety work from January to September this year was reported; the responsible persons of the county and district governments made a report on the 100-day centralized rectification of road traffic safety deployed by the municipal government and the completion of the "2021 Road Traffic Safety Target Responsibility Letter"; the on-site rectification notice of rural road safety hazards and urban buses engaged in urban and rural line operations was handed over.

Li Jinqiang pointed out that since the beginning of this year, under the strong leadership of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, the city's road traffic safety work has solidly promoted the "100-day centralized rectification" action of road traffic safety, vigorously carried out the special action of "eliminating hidden dangers and preventing accidents", achieved gratifying results in the death toll declining year by year for six consecutive years, achieved the goal of "reduction", and ensured that the traffic safety situation in the city continued to be stable.

Li Jinqiang demanded that party committees, governments, and member units of the Municipal Road Safety Commission at all levels should clearly understand the seriousness and complexity of the traffic safety situation, firmly establish the concept of people first and life first, strictly abide by the red line of safety, firmly establish the bottom line of risk, and always put traffic safety work in mind, grasp it in hand, and implement it in action. Strengthen the investigation of hidden dangers and improve the ability to prevent accidents; strengthen order rectification and improve the ability of road control; strengthen rural management and enhance the ability to consolidate the foundation; strengthen publicity and education, and improve safety prevention capabilities.
