Nam Kham Province existed until 1913. During the Qing Dynasty, Nankang Province governed the present-day Lushan, Duchang, Yongxiu, and Anyi. The prefectural government was located in Lushan City, which was then called Xingzi County.

Nankang Province, the earliest set up is the Song Dynasty, the Song Dynasty set the Southern Kang Army. The Yuan Dynasty was called Nankang Road, the early Ming Dynasty was called Xining Province, and later renamed Nankang Province, until the end of the Qing Dynasty, after 1913, Nankang Province was abolished and divided into Jiujiang Area.

In the past, Nankang Province was a holy place for poetry and book ceremonies. There is the most well-known institution of higher learning in the country, The White Deer Cave Academy, the famous Lushan Mountain, and the largest freshwater lake in China - Poyang Lake.

The famous figure of Nankang Province is Zhu Xi, zhu Xi was born in the early years of the Southern Song Dynasty, has been gifted since childhood, must pass every examination, 18 years old in the middle of the gongsheng, 19 years old in the middle of the soldier. Zhu Xi was in Chunxi for five years, and in 1178 AD, Zhu Xi served as the prefect of the Southern Kang Army. The "History of Song" once recorded that Zhu Xi "went to the county, prospered and eliminated harm, did not rain in the years, and stressed absurd government." Zhu Xi not only built water conservancy projects, resisted disasters and rescued famines, but also sought to reduce taxes and reduce taxes. Zhu Xi's greatest contribution to the Nankang Province was the establishment of the White Deer Cave Academy.

In the sixth year of Chunxi, in 1179 AD, Zhu Xi climbed up Lushan Mountain, came to the southern foothills of Wulao Peak, and saw the place where Li Bo, the assassin of Jiangzhou in the Tang Dynasty, once lived and studied in seclusion, Li Bo raised a white deer, people called it Mr. White Deer, so his hermitage place was "White Deer Cave", which was built here during the Southern Tang Dynasty, and during the Northern Song Dynasty, it was renamed White Deer Cave Academy.

Zhu Xi came to the former academy, and his eyes were full of ruins, rubble everywhere, barren grass, and very desolate.

Zhu Xi has always believed: "The holy king of the ancients was set up as a school to teach the people of the world." He decided to raise funds to rebuild the White Deer Cave Academy. Lushan Mountain is a treasure land of feng shui, and Bailudong Academy is surrounded by mountains and rivers, "clear and surrounded, no noise of the city". Zhu Xi raised funds from many sources, quickly built teaching houses, collected books everywhere, and looked for teachers everywhere. Zhu Xi personally taught, and recruited students from all over the world, and made a move to let the academy pass on, that is, to purchase more than 870 acres of nearby fertile land, so that the academy achieved self-sufficiency, and it was not impossible for later generations to do it. Zhu Xi's restructured White Deer Cave Academy has been passed down for thousands of years and is famous at home and abroad, and is the "first academy in The Sea" and "the first academy in the world".

In the past, there was Nankang Province, and now I see Zhu Xilai.

Zhu Xi did his best to eliminate decadence, advocated theory of science, personally served as the dean of the academy, set up fields, compiled teaching materials, ordered study rules, gathered books, and invited masters, not only cultivated a large number of talents for the country, but also made Nankang Province and Bailudong Academy a pilgrimage holy place for readers in the world.

Once Duchang was under the jurisdiction of Nankang Province, Duchang has been studying Xiang mendi since ancient times, and the Duchang scribes Huang Hao, Peng Li, Feng Qiao, and Cao Yanyou became Zhu Xi's friends, not only often came to Bailu Cave to ask Zhu Xi for advice, but also lectured at the academy. Zhu Xi once wrote an article entitled "The Strange Book of Answering Feng Chair", which shows that they studied science together and inherited Chinese culture together.

The relationship between Zhu Xi and Zhu Men's four friends is extraordinary, not only did they form an incomparably deep friendship, but their ideas influenced many people.

Nankang Province is a sacred place of science, "the place where confucianism was first transvalued", and it is no wonder that Duchang wenfeng is a place where the style of literature and learning flourishes. Duchang is not only the hometown of Chinese calligraphy, but also "the hall of writings, the xue of searching for science, and the zhishi have a clan alliance".

As the Duchang writer Mingran said, Duchang began from Zhu Xi's time, and the Duchang scribes, with the help of Zhu Xi, walked out of a large number of literati and scholars, and also made Duchang show a strong reading style, until today...

There is a way: Zhu Xi informed the Southern Kang Army and reorganized the White Deer Courtyard. Duchang talents are multiplied, and the four friends of Zhumen are famous.
