Zhang Wu, Wang Weixi and their eldest son

Zhang Wu (1920-2004), a native of Chang'an County, Shaanxi Province, was a founding colonel of the People's Liberation Army (promoted to major general in 1964).

In 1936, he joined the Chinese National Liberation Vanguard, and in 1937 he joined the Communist Party of China and joined the Red Army. Wu Kezhi, Tan Mei and their "Five Golden Flowers"

Wu Kezhi (1911-1985), a native of Qiongshan County, Hainan Province, was a founding colonel of the People's Liberation Army (promoted to major general in 1961).

In 1925, he went to Singapore with his maternal grandfather to make a living, and returned to Haikou after the "Lugou Bridge Incident" in 1937 and joined the Communist Party of China. He served as the commander of the 2nd Brigade of the Qiongya Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Independent Corps (Deputy Commander Lin Taoyao), the commander of the 1st Detachment (Political Commissar Chen Naishi, Chen Shi, and Lin Hao) and the county magistrate of the Qiongshan County Anti-Japanese Democratic Government, the commander of the 1st Detachment of the Qiongya Independent Column (Political Commissar Lin Hao), the Second Deputy Commander of the Column (Li Zhenya, the First Deputy Commander), the First Deputy Commander of the QIONGya Column of the People's Liberation Army (Commander and Political Commissar Feng Baiju), the First Deputy Commander of the Hainan Military Region (1950-1951), and the Director of the Research Office of the Nanjing Military Academy. Tang Liang (1910-1986), a native of Liuyang County, Hunan Province, was a founding general of the People's Liberation Army.

In 1930, he joined the Red Army and joined the Communist Party of China. Dong Qiwu (1899-1989), a native of Hejin County, Shanxi Province, was a founding general of the People's Liberation Army.

In his early years, he served as the commander of the 9th Mixed Brigade of the 2nd Army of the Nationalist Army (Brigade Commander Zhao Shuxun), the commander of the Advance Column of the Northern Expedition of the 4th Army of the National Revolutionary Army (Column Commander Zheng Sicheng), the commander of the 89th Regiment of the 30th Division of the 3rd Front of the Nationalist Army (The Great Battle of the Central Plains) (Division Commander Lu Chengrui), the commander of the 436th Regiment of the 218th Brigade of the 73rd Division of the 35th Army of the National Revolutionary Army (Great Wall Resistance War, brigade commander Zeng Yanyi), the commander of the 218th Brigade (Suiyuan War of Resistance), the commander of the 101st Division (Commander Fu Zuoyi). Guo Peng (1906-1977), a native of Liling County, Hunan Province, was a founding lieutenant general of the People's Liberation Army.

He participated in the "Autumn Harvest Uprising" in 1927 and joined the Communist Party of China in 1928. Yan Wenbin (1915-2014), a native of Yongxin County, Jiangxi Province, was a founding colonel of the People's Liberation Army (promoted to major general in 1964).

He joined the Chinese Red Army in 1931 and the Communist Party of China in 1934. Wang Jianqing (1911-1991), a native of Xintai County, Shandong Province, was a founding major general of the People's Liberation Army.

He joined the Communist Party of China in 1931 and joined the Eighth Route Army in 1938.
