Jordan was Schumacher's first stop in F1. At the time, Jordan's driver, Bertrand Garcitz, would miss the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix after he was jailed for attacking a taxi driver.

Schumacher had just signed a contract with Mercedes, but he impressed Jordan during the test race at Silverstone, so Jordan negotiated with Mercedes to allow Schumacher to join Jordan and replace Bertrand Garcitz.

At the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix, Schumacher made his F1 debut in the Jordan 191 chariot and finished 7th in qualifying, matching Jordan's team's best qualifying result of the 1991 season.

Although Schumacher had no choice but to retire after failing to finish the first lap due to clutch failure in the main race, the Jordan 191 car still witnessed the first step of the car king to the F1 stage.

The F1 steering wheel that Schumacher held

Schumacher let the F1 bigwigs know his prowess in this race, and benetton immediately signed him, and then Schumacher won two world championships, starting his legendary career.

The Jordan 191 was later collected by the two men in turn and is now listed for £1.25 million for sale. Since Schumacher drove, the car has undergone only minor changes – a new engine has been installed to keep it working. The car has previously been voted by fans as one of the most attractive F1 cars of all time.

After the buyer purchases, the F1 steering wheel that Schumacher has held will be protected by a special frame to take home, and the car will also carry a Schumacher-signed model and authenticity certificate.
