Traveling from Shanghai to Belgium |, go to the "Tintin" house to visit the door

Cloud travel destination: Shanghai, New Leuven

Highlights: The Adventures of Tintin

The world's largest "Tintin" themed exhibition "Tintin and Hergé" is being held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai and will run until the end of October. For "Tintin fans", they can not only enjoy the precious historical original works of "Tintin" at the exhibition site, but also focus on the artistic life of Hergé, the father of Tintin, including the creation of manuscripts, notes, paintings and personal art collections. The most popular in the exhibition is "Tintin's Apartment", a room reproduced from the residence of "Tintin" in the tenth part of the "Adventures of Tintin" series, "Mysterious Meteor". There is also a Chinese-style exhibition area dedicated to the Chinese characters who appeared in the fifth part of "Blue Lotus", based on the author's friend Zhang Chongren, who met since 1934 and maintained a friendship for half a century.

The exhibition is jointly organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai and the Hergé Museum in Belgium. In 2007, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Hergé, the author of The Adventures of Tintin, and the 80th birthday of Tintin, the Hergé Museum was inaugurated in Neue Leuven, Belgium. Tucked away in a grove of trees behind a residential area, the museum looks like a huge open album from a distance, with "Tintin" looking out over seagulls in the air on one wall, a picture of "The Golden Pincer Crab Cartel", and the signature of "Hergé" on the other. Walking into the museum, it is like stepping into the magical world of "Tintin", with a total of 8 exhibition areas. Although "Tintin" traveled the world, Hergé had hardly ever been abroad, so he tried his best to consult and collect all kinds of information, such as newspapers, albums, movies, etc. at that time, including the books given to him by Zhang Chongren when he created "Blue Lotus" and the couplets when the two reunited more than 40 years later. An exhibition hall on the second floor displays the lunar rocket designed by Professor Carculus, the tank for surveying the moon, and the shark submarine. In addition, there is a huge chandelier on the stairs outside, consisting of all the characters' heads in The Adventures of Tintin.

The Adventures of Tintin has been serialized in Belgian newspapers bi-weekly since 1929, and the optimistic and adventurous young journalist and his dog, Snow White, have become the most popular European comic book characters of the 20th century. The figures of Tintin and Snow White can be said to be everywhere in Brussels, and the capital airport, Brussels Railway Station, downtown street scenes, and murals have all left the picture of "The Adventures of Tintin".
