Jealousy is the poison of life, some people say: "In addition to hoping for their own happiness, people also like to see the misfortunes of others" Perhaps most people will not admit that they have such terrible thoughts, everyone feels that they are not like this, how can they hope that others are unhappy? But after careful consideration, this sentence also has a certain truth for some people. For example, when some people see people who are better than themselves fail, they are always very happy because they have one less competitor.
In reality, such examples abound, that is, they can't see others better than themselves, which is jealousy, and jealousy often stems from selfishness. The reason is that we find that others are doing better than we are, and others have more than we do. So jealousy has a powerful impetus, prompting us to do something terrible, making us lose our minds, not knowing right and wrong, complaining about people for no reason, and making us lose the right course.
In layman's terms, jealousy is always remembering that you are inferior to others, that you are better than yourself to others, that you feel uncomfortable, and even that you are psychologically distorted. Although people yearn for beauty, but can not always be red to others, we must learn to timely forget that we are inferior to others, this is an effective way to eliminate jealousy.
In "Snow White", the originally beautiful stepmother, because she was jealous that Snow White was more beautiful than herself, she poisoned her hand and wanted to poison Snow White to death, but in the end she became a real ugly woman. Therefore, if you let others fail by dragging your legs, the more you will fail, and others will know your jealousy, stay away from you, and regain other successes.
In life, the people we see the most are those who have become ugly because of their jealousy of their abilities: "Isn't he better than me, is he always praised, this time I will not help him, see how strong he can be better than me." 」 But what does this give us? This is the "crab heart".
Fishermen catch crabs to take advantage of this psychology, open one side of the box, open the crabs, let them climb in, when the box is filled with crabs, close the opening, the box has a bottom, but there is no lid, the crab can easily run away from the box, but because of the crab's jealousy, the result is that none of them can run. The reason is that when one crab starts to climb up, the other will squeeze it down, and eventually no one climbs out, but becomes a delicacy on the table. And once people are jealous, they will be like crabs, I can't get it, you don't want to get it, and finally end up with a jade burning.
The Buddhist scriptures record this story:
In ancient times, a king of the Magadha kingdom raised a herd of elephants. Among the elephants, there is an elephant with a very special appearance, a white body, and fine and smooth hairs. Later, the king entrusted the elephant to the care of an elephant trainer. This image trainer not only takes care of it, but also teaches it with care. The white elephant was very intelligent and understanding, and after a while, they had established a good tacit understanding.
One year, the country held a big celebration. The king intended to ride the white elephant to the ceremony, so the elephant trainer cleaned the white elephant and dressed it up before handing it over to the king.
Accompanied by some officials, the king rode a white elephant into the city to watch the celebration. Because this white elephant was so beautiful, the people crowded around, admiring it and shouting, "Elephant King!" Elephant King! At this time, the king, who was riding on the back of the elephant, felt that all the aura had been taken away by the white elephant, and his heart was very angry and jealous. He quickly circled around and returned to the palace unhappily. As soon as he entered the palace, he asked the elephant trainer, "Does this white elephant have any special skills?" "
The mahout asked the king, "What are you referring to, king?"
The king said, "Can it show its skills on the edge of the cliff?" The mahout said, "It should be possible." Then the king said, "Yes." Then tomorrow let it perform on the cliffs adjacent to the kingdoms of Polonais and Magadha. "
The next day, the mahout took the white elephant to the cliff as agreed. Then the king said, "Can this white elephant stand on a cliff on three feet?" The mahout said, "It's simple. He rode on the elephant's back and said to the white elephant, standing on three feet, and sure enough, the white elephant immediately shrank one foot. And the king said, "Let it have two feet dangling in the air, and stand on both feet." The white elephant obediently did so. Finally the king said, "Let it have three legs dangling in the air and stand on only one foot?"
When the mahout heard this, he understood that the king wanted to put the white elephant to death, so he said to the white elephant, "This time you must be careful, shrink three feet, and stand on one foot." The white elephant also did so cautiously, and the onlookers watched and cheered incessantly! The king was even more unbalanced, so he said to the mahout, "Can it be suspended in the air?" "
At this time, the elephant trainer quietly said to the white elephant, "The king is intent on your life, it is very dangerous here, so you will take off and fly to the opposite cliff!" "Who knows what is incredible is that this white elephant really flew to the opposite cliff and came to the country of Polonai.
When the people of Polonai saw the white elephant coming, the whole city cheered, and the king was very happy to ask the elephant trainer how you came here on an elephant. The elephant trainer told the king one by one. When the king heard this, he sighed, "How can a man be concerned with an elephant?" "
From this, we can see that in life, we must have a calm heart, and we must not be jealous. As the saying goes: "If you want to stand up, you want to reach people." "Others have achieved something, we should not be jealous, we should calmly look at the success of others, and timely forget that we are inferior to others, which is the secret of having a happy life."
