Russell's advice to future generations in 1959!

Interview Question: Lord Russell, assuming that this video will be seen by our descendants, like the Dead Sea Scrolls, and be seen a thousand years later, what do you think should be said to their generation? About your life and the feelings of a lifetime?

Russell replied: I want to say two things! One is about wisdom, and the other is about morality. What I want to say to them about wisdom is that whether you are studying something or thinking about any point of view, just ask yourself: What are the facts and what are the truths that these facts confirm? Never allow yourself to be influenced by what you prefer to believe or that people believe will be more beneficial to society! Just look at it alone, what is the truth? This is the point I want to say about wisdom.

The second point I want to make to them is about wisdom, which is very simple. I would say that love is wise and hate is stupid! In an increasingly interconnected world, we must learn to tolerate each other, and we must learn to accept the fact that there will always be people who say things we don't want to hear, and only then will we be able to live together. And if we want to coexist, not die, we must learn this tolerance and tolerance, because they are essential for human coexistence on this planet! One last question, Lord Russell.

My understanding of Russell's advice!

Regarding wisdom, I recognize it this way: the reason why wisdom is in the first place for human beings is because human development, civilization, progress, happiness, and happiness are rooted in human wisdom! The most important thing in human intelligence is the truth of facts and the truth to which it points. Everyone's description of the truth at the same time and place is different. However, people's description of the factual truth of natural things can often be unanimous and unified, because everyone has a human position, a human perspective, and the common interests of human beings to describe the truth, and the influence of natural things on people's role is also roughly unified. It is difficult for people to agree on the description of others and social things, because each person has his own unique position, perspective, and interests, and the influence of others and social things on each person is also different. Everyone will describe and even exaggerate and distort the truth of other people and everything in society from their own positions, perspectives, interests, likes and dislikes, so that people's descriptions of the same person and the state of social things at the same time and place may be completely different, or even completely opposite! Therefore, it is much more difficult to know the truth that describes other people and social things and the truths they reflect than it is to know the truth that describes natural things. But human beings' pursuit and feeling of equality, democracy, freedom, order, happiness, and happiness are common, so as long as we stand on the stand of mankind, from the perspective of human survival and development, and take the common interests of mankind as the starting point and foothold, the description of the truth of the facts of others and all things in society and the truth reflected in them can certainly be unanimously unified!

With regard to morality, I recognize it this way: the reason why morality is almost in the same position as wisdom for human beings is because human development and regression, civilization and barbarism, progress and backwardness, happiness and pain, happiness and sorrow are also rooted in the moral condition of human beings! The reason why love is at the core of morality is because people have love in their hearts, they will take into account the interests of others, society and the country when realizing their own interests, and will consciously abide by order, rules, honesty and trustworthiness! If hatred occupies an important position in people's morality, people will ignore or even violate order and rules when realizing their own interests, lose their integrity, deceive themselves, take revenge, and finally perish together!
