The "birth" of a virtual singer is usually produced and sold by various agencies based on the VOCALOID speech synthesis engine: the producer looks for the right voice actor or singer, completes the recording of each syllable in a specific way, produces a test sound library, tests, repairs, and finally releases the official sound library.
Virtual singers can be divided into V (vocaloid) singers, U (utau) singers, and M (mtau) singers because of the different speech synthesis engines.
