
My Black Tiger Temple Primary School is located deep in Funiu Mountain, and five years ago, the school building had only three bungalows, and the desks and chairs in the classrooms were dilapidated. Before the start of each semester, I had the most headaches, because the school was located in a remote mountainous area, new teachers were reluctant to come, and once an old teacher retired, the school could not open the bolt. Most of the children in our school are left-behind children, lack of care, our teachers are general teachers during the day, and at night they become the surrogate "mothers" of the children, making beds for the children, but also paying attention to the children's mental health.
In 2018, a long newsletter on the first page of Henan Daily reported my deeds, and the whole country knew the hardships of rural teachers, and love flocked to the Black Tiger Temple Primary School. The local government supported more than 3 million yuan to improve the school infrastructure, and modern classrooms, libraries, music rooms, dream classrooms, plastic runways, etc. are readily available. Black Tiger Temple Primary School has formed "hand in hand" pairs with Zhengzhou University, Nanyang Normal College, Henan Experimental Primary School, Nanyang No. 12 Primary School and other schools to share high-quality resources free of charge. In 2020, Black Tiger Temple Primary School was rated as a civilized unit in Henan Province and became the "National Lei Feng School", and its annual comprehensive results ranked in the forefront of the area. At the beginning of the fall semester of 2021, the school has 13 teachers, all young teachers, most of them have bachelor's degrees, everyone is particularly energetic, and the school presents a new atmosphere of vigor and vitality.
The provincial party committee proposed to fully implement the strategy of rural revitalization. Rural revitalization is first and foremost the revitalization of talents, and education is fundamental. In recent years, the national policy has been tilted towards rural schools and rural teachers, and great changes have taken place in rural schools, and the treatment of rural teachers has also been greatly improved. I believe that only by making rural teachers more dignified and allowing them to return and develop can grassroots education have hope and better support the blue sky of rural revitalization.
