Closely following the pace of digital transformation in Shanghai, on October 28, Pudong released the 14th Five-Year Plan for Pudong New Area to Comprehensively Promote Urban Digital Transformation.

The reporter learned from the press symposium held by the Pudong New Area Big Data Center on the 28th that by 2025, Pudong will be built into a cutting-edge window that highlights the digital transformation influence of Shanghai's modern international metropolis and a global and future-oriented digital city, providing the "world benchmark", "Chinese solution" and "Pudong model" for the construction of digital cities and regions in major cities and regions around the world; in the urban digital infrastructure service capabilities, intelligent and modern urban governance system, digital and integrated industrial development ecology, The four aspects of co-construction and co-governance, open and win-win development pattern have achieved national leadership.

It is understood that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Pudong will implement the key work of the urban digital transformation project from six aspects, such as promoting the overall empowerment of the city's digital base, the ultimate life service, the micro-urban governance, the high-quality urban economy, the excellent demonstration landmark, and the long-term supporting system.

Among them, Pudong plans to empower high-quality urban development through digital economy innovation. The whole region will closely grasp the opportunity of the construction of Shanghai global science and technology innovation center, and build a new pattern of digital industry with the opportunity of the pilot construction of the international Internet data dedicated channel and the new Internet exchange center; vigorously promote the construction of the industrial Internet and create a new model of intelligent manufacturing; focus on the construction of international financial centers and digital shipping, and create a new hub for financial shipping; innovate new models of rural development, accelerate the digital transformation and development of agriculture and rural areas, and comprehensively promote rural revitalization; focus on the construction of international information industry agglomeration areas and transnational data trading systems. Build a new highland for digital trade.

In terms of the construction of demonstration landmarks, Pudong will focus on creating new landmarks with world influence in digital scenes: accelerate the creation of a number of future manufacturing landmarks with demonstration effects in Zhangjiang, Jinqiao, Lingang, Kangqiao and other areas; actively promote intelligent networked car companies to carry out unmanned open road tests in Jinqiao, Lingang areas and other areas, promote the application of unmanned sweepers, unmanned patrol vehicles and other vehicles in urban governance and services, and create future traffic landmarks; make full use of the Internet of Things, big data, AI, XR and other new technologies build a new space for urban life, build a number of future communities in Lujiazui, Jinqiao, Zhangjiang and other areas, and create future life landmarks; and further promote the construction of rural characteristic agricultural, leisure tourism and regional linkage governance digital demonstration villages represented by Zhoupu, Nicheng, Hangtou, Chuansha New Town, etc., to create future rural landmarks.

In addition, Pudong has also formulated specific key development indicators for the digital transformation of the whole region during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, including achieving 100% coverage of 5G networks in the whole region, 100% coverage rate of urban information model construction in main urban areas, 15 million nodes of IoT sensing neurons, 50 benchmarking scenarios of "efficient disposal of one thing", 70 benchmarking smart factories (i.e., unmanned factories), and 4-6 industrial industrial Internet platforms.
