Shaogutong Village, Jiegou Town, Yucheng County, is a famous local "Zongzi Village", which has a history of making Zongzi for more than 100 years. In 2014, with the love for his hometown and the expansion of the Zongzi brand in his hometown, Xu Xiaying, who graduated with a master's degree, returned to his hometown to establish Xu's Zongye Food Workshop. In the spring of 2015, she and her husband opened a rice dumpling processing factory in the nearby village of Xingying. Because the rice dumplings sold well that year, after the Spring Festival of the following year, they opened up enough production horsepower to prepare for the Dragon Boat Festival market. But who understood that the rented cold storage refrigeration did not meet the requirements, and when it was shipped out, it was found that more than 1,000 pieces of rice dumplings all had mildew spots, and more than 300,000 yuan were lost. Her husband advised her to give up starting a business and honestly go to work, but she said: "Since she chose to come back, no matter how hard it is, she must persist." ”

She and her husband managed to raise more than 2 million yuan, and with the support of the local government, they handled the procedures such as food production licenses, established Henan Shaogutong Food Co., Ltd., built a 1600 square meter factory, and introduced the southern packaging cooking process. Today, the company has an annual output of more than 500 tons of rice dumplings and is exported to more than 20 provinces and cities.

In order to help alleviate poverty, Xu Xiaying gives priority to the recruitment of poor people when recruiting workers, and 10 of the more than 40 workers who have been working for many years in the company are poor people. At the same time, the company and the village precision poverty alleviation cooperative jointly, 88 poor households into the shares to enjoy dividends, the average annual income of households increased by more than 1200 yuan.
