As a representative of major scientific and technological achievements facing the forefront of science and technology in the world, the "benchmark temperature measurement device in the extremely low temperature area" debuted in the exhibition has achieved a breakthrough of zero in the field of temperature measurement in the extremely low temperature area in China. According to reports, the extremely low temperature zone in this field usually refers to the temperature zone below 24.5K, that is, −248.65 °C, and the high-precision measurement and control technology of the temperature zone is the basic guarantee for the development of cutting-edge science, large scientific devices, zero-carbon energy, aerospace and other fields.
As a representative of scientific and technological achievements facing the major needs of the country, the high-temperature gas-cooled reactor nuclear power plant project in the exhibition has attracted much attention. Thanks to the support of major national science and technology projects, the high-temperature gas-cooled reactor demonstration power station in Rongcheng, Shandong Province, reached its first critical point in September this year, that is, the reactor entered a "continuous nuclear reaction" state, with the basis for operational power generation, and is expected to be connected to the grid for the first time before the end of this year. According to reports, the project is the world's first ball bed modular high-temperature gas-cooled reactor commercial demonstration project, which is of great significance for leading the progress of Nuclear Power Technology in China and occupying the commanding heights of nuclear power technology in the world.
