Monkey Rock, the site of some ancient limb burials, descends the river, and the river gradually disappears into the village. On the Black River in Labi Village, an ancient bluestone arch bridge stands silently among the green mountains and waters. Because of its long age, the wild grass on the bluestone bridge is overgrown, the moss is wanton, the grass and trees on the side of the bridge are luxuriant, and the bluestone arch bridge and the green mountains and green water are all in the distance, almost completely integrated into nature. But behind this inconspicuous, there is a hidden source about the name of the Carp River, this small bridge, and it is also the oldest Tea Horse Ancient Bridge on the Liyu River.

According to historical records, during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the tide of migration from Huguang in Sichuan entered its peak, and a large number of Han immigrants entered Huaping, opening a heyday of Han immigration. During the Jiaqing period, a group of wealthy merchants and scholars moved to Huaping, including Zhou Desheng, the builder of the Tea Horse Ancient Bridge. At that time, as the richest migrant, Zhou Desheng did not choose to live in the old Yaping City, but followed the old Neibi River (now the Carp River) all the way. At the confluence of the Neibi River and the Heijing River, I felt that the scenery was very good and the feng shui was good, so I decided to live here. However, at that time, the indigenous people were unwilling to accept this foreigner, and the paddy fields and mountains were unwilling to sell to Zhou Desheng, who could only live in a deserted place.
Idle, in the face of good weather in the big sun, Zhou Desheng looked for a flat place, laid out the silver of the white flowers to dry, and returned home in the evening. The weather was sunny and the Sun was good, the snowflakes and silver were dazzling, and Zhou Desheng's move alarmed the four townships and eight neighbors, and the indigenous people had never seen such a position, and they all watched and rushed to tell each other. At that time, the highest magistrate of The Old Yaping, Toshi, heard the rumors and came to watch on horseback, and lamented the wealth of Han merchants. Zhou Desheng and Toast offered to buy the land, and Toast also proposed a quid pro quo, if Zhou Desheng could do three good things for the local people: build a stone road from the old Yaping to Tianping, build three bridges over the Heizhen River, and build a Guanyin Temple, and the field could be sold to Zhou Desheng. Zhou Desheng promised to do these three things.
From the existing historical records, it can be known that Zhou Desheng built three bridges, two of which are named Leshan Bridge and Xingshan Bridge, and the other has no name to be examined. Today, only one of the three bridges remains at the confluence of the Heijing River and the Carp River, and because the bridge monument was destroyed in history, it is impossible to verify the name of the bridge.
After the bridge was built, it took the meaning of "locking the flood demon, trapping the carp spirit here to repent", and the "carp river" gradually replaced the name of "Nobi River" and spread to this day. The place where Zhou Desheng dried silver was called carp field, the place where Zhou Desheng knotted was called carp fort, and the place where carp essence was trapped was called Rabi.
The foreigner who was once not accepted, through his own efforts, finally joined the bridge he built, completely integrated into the history of Huaping and was respected by the people of Huaping. With the passage of time, we have lost sight of the other two bridges built by Zhou Desheng, and the only remaining bridge is now dilapidated and small, almost submerged in the smoke and vines. However, two centuries ago, this bridge facilitated countless people on both sides of the strait, making it easy for merchants to trade and exchange goods.
