On October 29, the official website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced the list of the second batch of national rural governance demonstration villages and towns, and Wangshang Village, Wuquan Town, Yangling District, Yangling Demonstration Area, and Tianxi Village, Lugu Town, Yangling District, Yangling Demonstration Area, were selected as the second batch of national rural governance demonstration villages.
In order to further give play to the typical exemplary and leading role, this year, the Office of the Central Rural Work Leading Group, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, and the National Rural Revitalization Bureau carried out the second batch of national rural governance demonstration villages and towns.
Demonstration villages and towns are a national model for rural governance. According to the requirements, all demonstration townships and towns should further improve the rural governance work mechanism, strengthen grass-roots management services and supervision of public power, standardize the work affairs of village-level organizations, effectively reduce the burden on village-level organizations, and build townships and towns into rural governance centers, rural service centers, and rural economic centers. All demonstration villages should further strengthen the building of village party organizations, give full play to the role of autonomous organizations, enrich the forms of deliberation and consultation among villagers, promote the construction of rural customs and civilized village styles, strengthen the construction of villages ruled by law and safe villages, explore and innovate rural governance methods, improve the rural governance system that combines autonomy, rule of law, and rule by virtue under the leadership of party organizations, and vigorously build a vibrant, harmonious, and orderly rural society.
