On the afternoon of October 30th, the signing ceremony of the China-Guinea Water Conservancy Engineering Professional Education Cooperation Project (Guinean Water Conservancy Engineering College of Yangling Vocational and Technical College) jointly cooperated by Yangling Vocational and Technical College, the University of Conakry and the Confucius Institute of the University of Conakry in Guinea was held online.

At the meeting, Wentong announced the official launch of the project. Wang Zhousuo, Traoré and Michele signed project cooperation agreements on behalf of Yangling Vocational and Technical College, the University of Conakry and the Confucius Institute at the University of Conakry.
In his speech, Wang Zhousuo introduced the basic situation of the school, the dominant position of the school's water conservancy engineering major in China's water conservancy industry, and the important role played by water conservancy professional technology in the construction of water conservancy projects in China and African countries. He pointed out that the development of the cooperation project is conducive to promoting educational exchanges and cooperation between China and Guinea, sharing the achievements of the two countries in the development of higher education, and providing technical and talent support for the development of science and technology in related industries for African Chinese-funded enterprises and other enterprises. He stressed that the implementation of the cooperation project will surely strengthen the educational cooperation between the school and the University of Conakry in the field of water conservancy, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and add icing on the cake for the long-term friendship that has been formed between China and Guinea.
Traoré said the University of Conakry is ready for substantive cooperation. Yangling Vocational College water conservancy major has international advanced technical standards, and has been widely used in the construction of water conservancy projects in many african countries, as one of the famous universities in West Africa, the University of Conakry has a high degree of fit with Yangling Vocational College in the construction of water conservancy professional courses. He said that the implementation of the cooperation project will certainly enhance the technical level and employment competitiveness of students in relevant majors of the University of Conakry, provide more powerful technical and talent support for the construction of non-water conservancy projects, and further enhance the friendship between the two peoples.
Professor Michel said that the Confucius Institute at the University of Conakry will perform its relevant responsibilities in strict accordance with the provisions of the agreement, do a good job in the localization and transformation of the project curriculum and the coordination of cooperation, and actively promote the project cooperation to achieve the expected results.
Wang Baoxiang introduced the construction background and cooperation content of the China-Guinea Water Conservancy Engineering Professional Education Cooperation Project (Guinean Water Conservancy Engineering College of Yangling Vocational and Technical College). The project is an important international education exchange and cooperation initiative of Yangling Vocational College in actively responding to the national "Belt and Road" initiative and the "Implementation of People-to-People Exchange Actions" in the "Eight Action Plans" proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in 2018. The project will organically combine a number of international cooperation and exchange work such as cultivating international students, sharing school water conservancy engineering majors and curriculum standards with African countries, "Chinese + vocational skills", professional and technical training for teachers and students, and serving Chinese enterprises going abroad, forming a "multi-in-one" international education exchange and cooperation model.
In addition, the school's recent plan to establish an agricultural branch of Yangling Vocational College in Uzbekistan is in preparation for the establishment of a project. The construction of agricultural branches in Uzbekistan will greatly enhance the school's foreign education exchanges and cooperation work characterized by the construction of agricultural training bases, and form a "three-in-one" school branch construction of overseas branch schools, international student education, and international certification of professional courses.
