Recently, a weekly magazine broke the news that Keiichiro Koyama and Nario Kato, members of the NEWS of Janis Office, were drinking with minors. In a press release sent to the media by the J family, the firm conducted a hearing and investigation of a number of participants at the liquor store, including artists, and there were indeed 19-year-old women at the same table; but the woman claimed to the artist and others in the conversation and mobile phone text message that she was 20 years old, so the crowd did not know that there were minors participating in the liquor store that day.

During the same table, Koyama and others advised the underage woman to drink alcohol. The press release stressed that regardless of whether or not minors were drinking alcohol, news program staff should be extra cautious about such behavior. The situation was serious, so the firm decided to give Koyama a punishment for self-censorship within a certain period of time.

Oyama currently hosts the NTV news show "News Every" (every Tuesday to Friday at 15:50), while Kato is starring in the TBS show "NEWS な2" (every Friday night at 0:50).
