On June 26, in the legal service studio of Hubei Chenfeng Law Firm in Shayang Guanghua Prison, Zhang Mou, a prisoner, poured out his heart to the lawyer and received a satisfactory answer.

On the same day, with Xiong Feng, director of Hubei Chenfeng Law Firm, and Zhang Rongsheng, secretary of the party committee and prison director of Shayang Guanghua Prison, signing an agreement and jointly unveiling the plaque, the legal workstation of Hubei Chenfeng Law Firm in Shayang Guanghua Prison was officially established. It is understood that this is the first law firm stationed in the prison system in the province.

As a pilot unit of the "Five Major Reforms" demonstration prison in Hubei Prison, Guanghua Prison has long attached great importance to the rule of law education and legal services for inmates. In view of the lack of legal knowledge of some inmates, the lack of legal awareness, and the ideological fluctuations caused by personal, family or social disputes among inmates, Guanghua Prison actively seeks social legal service support.

"The joint construction of a legal workstation by Hubei Chenfeng Law Firm and Guanghua Prison is a combination of the resources of the high-quality legal team in society and the resources of the prison itself, and is the first station for public legal services to enter the prison." Duan Xiaodong, secretary of the party committee and director of the Shayang Prison Administration, said.

At present, Hubei Chenfeng Law Firm has set up a number of studios in the prison area of Guanghua Prison, such as legal popularization education, legal services, and legal consultation. According to the intention of cooperation, Hubei Chenfeng Law Firm will send a team of lawyers to the Prison District of Guanghua Prison to provide legal services for inmates face-to-face, and at the same time will try to introduce the "Internet +" model into the operation practice of legal workstations to achieve good results in remotely answering various legal questions for inmates.

At the launching ceremony, Hu Xinqiao, director of the Hubei Reporter Station of Legal Daily, believed that the establishment of the Guanghua Prison Legal Service Workstation was a useful exploration for Hubei Prison to implement the overall national security concept and practice the "five major reforms", and paid tribute to the dedication of Hubei Chenfeng Law Firm to take the initiative to assume social responsibility. He said that as the organ newspaper of the Central Political and Legal Commission under the supervision of the Ministry of Justice, Legal Daily will further make good use of authoritative platforms, use all-media means to track and report on prison legal service workstations, and in-depth reports on the judicial administration work of the whole province.

After the launching ceremony, 16 lawyers were sent to the prison area and received legal advice from more than 100 inmates and their families on the spot.
