"Su Shu": The way to success lies in virtue rather than skill, with the tao rather than with strategy, with courtesy rather than with power

author:Listen to the rain falling on the city

The ancients said: "Know the times, know the advance and retreat, protect the whole body, and pass on a good name to future generations." Each of us should do things, do good things, do good things, and do useful things; be a good person, be a good person, be a good person, be an excellent person, start in advance from being a person, do more things that benefit others and benefit themselves, and do not do things that harm others and benefit themselves. Why would a person who is "high enough" be "more famous than the hereafter"?

The "Sushu" is said to have been written by Huang Shigong (a figure more magical than the ghost valley) at the end of the Qin Dynasty, and the full text is 1336 words, which contains the author's four major ideological systems of self-cultivation, self-discipline, life for people, leadership strategy, and governance of the country and security. It is regarded by the people as a strange book, a heavenly book, and some people say that the plain book is the first strange book of strategy in the world, and the secret book of strategy. The first granter of the Sushu was Zhang Liang, and after Zhang Liang obtained the Sushu, he used the wisdom of it to assist Liu Bang, the ancestor of Han Gao, in fixing the world, so posterity said that reading the Sushu "can be the master of the emperor", so how magical is it?

The meaning of this sentence is that people with high morals can often reach a very high level, become a model for future generations, and be admired by future generations.

"Su Shu": The way to success lies in virtue rather than skill, with the tao rather than with strategy, with courtesy rather than with power

The moral business card is the best passport to the world. No matter how time passes, virtue is always the most impressive medal. In the face of virtue, all misfortunes become small. You may be a very ordinary person, but if you have the most useful passport of virtue, your life will shine brightly, and you will go from ordinary to successful. For, only virtue can give you true success—spiritual eternity. It allows you to observe the universe with the greatest vision, let your life overlook everything in the world at the highest apex, and the soul will rise with the expansion of the pattern of life.

There is such a story between the famous Northern Song general Di Qing and the warrior Liu Yi. One year, when Di Qing was about to garrison Biansai, his good friend General Han recommended to him a warrior named Liu Yi. Liu Yi was familiar with the art of war, good at fighting evil battles, and was very familiar with the situation in the border that Di Qing was guarding, and it was very necessary for Di Qing to take him to the border with him. However, Lewis has a bad habit, that is, he especially loves to eat bitter herbs, and if he can't eat bitter herbs in a meal, he will shout and scold, and even beat people with his hands, and soldiers and generals are a little afraid of him.

After Liu Yi and Di Qing arrived at biansai together, they were busy with military affairs, getting up early and sleeping late every day, and the bitter herbs from the inner belt were quickly eaten, and Biansai could not see this wild vegetable. On this day, the soldiers sent a dish that lacked bitter herbs, so Lewis threw the utensils for the meal on the ground and made a big fuss in the barracks. The soldier reported the incident to Di Qing, who was very angry when he heard this.

In this case, a person like Lewis can never stay in the Army of Shubian, but Lewis is really different. Di Qing considered that a head-on confrontation with such a strong personality would not only destroy his friendship with General Han, but also affect Liu Yi's mood; if he left it alone, it would inevitably shake the hearts and minds of other soldiers and affect the great cause of Shubian.

Therefore, Di Qing came forward to appease Liu Yi with good words, and immediately sent someone back to the mainland to buy bitter cabbage. When some generals saw this situation, they were very unconvinced, saying that General Di was brave and good at war, and had repeatedly built up qigong, but Liu Yi He De He Neng asked General Di to put down his military affairs and send people to make him bitter vegetables to eat. A few vigorous generals also wanted to compete with Liu Yi in martial arts and kill Liu Yi's prestige. General Di hurriedly dissuaded the generals, saying: "Liu Yi was not my subordinate, and if you plan with him and fight with him to win, the news will inevitably give the enemy an opportunity." We must now strengthen unity and must not compete for a short period of time. ”

When these words reached Lewis's ears, he was very moved. General Di sent someone to buy bitter herbs, and Liu Yi felt that he had gained sympathy and understanding; General Di dissuaded the generals from fighting and winning, and Liu Yi felt that he really cared about the overall situation and was magnanimous. He realized that in this case, he should not cause trouble for General Di, who was busy with military affairs.

"Su Shu": The way to success lies in virtue rather than skill, with the tao rather than with strategy, with courtesy rather than with power

After a few days, Liu Yi went to Di Qing remorsefully and said, "General Di, you are strict in governing the army, and I have heard about it when I was under General Han. This time I made a big fuss because of such a small matter, you not only did not blame me, but also forgave me, I will definitely repay you. Since then, Lewis has never made a fuss about bitter cabbage, and he has praised the broad mind of generals every time.

Di Qing not only subdued Liu Yi, but also the generals and soldiers. More importantly, his demeanor of standing on a high plane when doing things and not affecting the overall situation because of small flaws is worth learning from everyone.

"Su Shu": The way to success lies in virtue rather than skill, with the tao rather than with strategy, with courtesy rather than with power

Being a person should not be sharp and sharp, it should not be arrogant, not arrogant, obscure, wise as foolish, and clever as clumsy. The way to success lies in virtue rather than skill, with the tao rather than with strategy, with courtesy rather than with power. People who achieve great things often have a humble and cautious heart, and they are people who do not boast of their true strength.
