Dialogue with Ejin has transported tourists: the days of strandedness are spent like this

"The poplars at the hotel entrance were more yellow and the sun was exceptionally warm. For a while, when I wanted to come, I was fine, but I didn't expect to suddenly be unable to go back, this small city was 'sick', I don't know how long I would stay, so I wanted to record it all at once..." This is the beginning of the tourist Wang Lijie recording life in Ejina.

Nearly two weeks have passed since the lockdown on October 18 to the transfer on October 30. From the initial anxiety, uneasiness, and worry, to the joy, warmth, and emotion of embarking on the road home now. During this period, Wang Lijie showed the changes in the way of recording his life. On the morning of October 30, a reporter from the Inner Mongolia Morning Post Inner Mongolia Morning Net Rong Media interviewed Wang Lijie, a tourist who had been transferred from Ejina Banner to Baotou City.

Reporter: From Ejin to where did you transfer to? How's the mood?

Wang Lijie: I arrived in Baotou City last night and am now observing at the hotel. At present, I am very relaxed and have been touched by the people and things around me. A lot of buses to transport more than 3,000 people to Baotou in one day for transit and health monitoring, epidemic prevention personnel prepared more than 3,000 food, beverages, small meal packs and other daily necessities for us overnight, and did the registration of vehicles. After departure, there are police cars in front of the road, and there are also police cars in the back to escort, during which to avoid interspersing with social vehicles. After that, in the special service area, the handover was made with the Baotou team. At that time, we saw dozens of police cars, and there were medical staff wearing protective clothing to do various protections for us. After 14 days of medical observation in Baotou City, we were able to return directly to our respective homes. Seeing the hope of going home, everyone's mood was particularly excited and happy.

Reporter: When you learned that you could not leave Ejina for the time being, what did you think?

Wang Lijie: On the morning of October 18, we were going to drive back to Beijing from Ejin Naqi, but we encountered a road closure and told us the news of returning to the hotel, and we didn't know how long we would stay. After we returned to the hotel, we bought some groceries at the supermarket. During the days in the hotel, they will pay attention to the local epidemic announcements and news every day, and soothe the emotions of those who are traveling with each other, and strictly require themselves not to go out. The hotel will deliver meals to the room every day, and the service is also very good, but everyone is not so anxious.

Reporter: Have you communicated with your family? How is it communicated?

Wang Lijie: Every day, I will call or video call with my family and tell them the situation here as much as possible. For example, the buffet we eat every day is very rich, and the hotel is safe, so as to dispel their worries and concerns.

Reporter: Why use short videos to record what happened in these ten days? Is it that you usually like to record the bits and pieces of life?

Wang Lijie: Usually just playing around, I really haven't recorded it like this, but this time I felt very deeply, so I recorded it. Because I deeply felt the enthusiasm of the people of Inner Mongolia, including the timely handling of us after the outbreak and the care for tourists, as well as everyone's help and encouragement to us. Therefore, I want to record these beautiful things, and I hope that more people who have not been to Inner Mongolia can feel the kindness, simplicity, enthusiasm and hospitality of the people of Inner Mongolia. Just after feeling the enthusiasm of the people of Ejina Banner, I was immediately relayed by the enthusiasm of the people of Baotou. Just yesterday on the way to Baotou, I sent a video, and immediately surrounded by countless heart-warming messages. They introduced me to the journey of Baotou and introduced what to eat. Seeing those text comments, my eyes were moist.

Reporter: Did you ever happen during your time in Inner Mongolia that touched you more?

Wang Lijie: Every day I encounter things that move me, that is, things that make my tears swirl in my eye sockets. It seems that on the 18th, we went to the supermarket to buy things, according to the situation at that time, it was good to buy, and we didn't care so much about the price, but the simple and kind supermarket owner carefully recorded the goods we bought one by one, told us that we would not increase the price, and calculated according to the wholesale price, and smiled at us and said that if we couldn't go, it was in his house for the New Year, and he could send what materials he needed for free. At the same time, the local government has set up more than 40 nucleic acid testing and sampling points, and many epidemic prevention personnel have been supported by other parts of Inner Mongolia. It was cold outside, but they were busy outside from morning to night, touched by their spirits.

Reporter: At this time, what kind of mood do you want to express to the local medical workers?

Wang Lijie: I also said in the record video before that now that the small city is "sick", it may not be possible to ensure that everyone can live comfortably for the time being, and it is even more necessary for all of us to abide by the epidemic prevention regulations together, overcome the difficulties together, and fight the epidemic. And now there are a large number of volunteer medical personnel from other places to support Ejin, so I believe that the epidemic will be brought under control more quickly. I want to say to them, "You have worked hard, you must pay attention to protect yourself." "I don't think there's any need to panic, we have a particularly strong motherland, whether it's from vaccination or treatment programs, there are strong guarantees. Therefore, I would like to say to my local friends that as long as you relax your mentality and do a good job in epidemic prevention as required, I believe that you will soon be able to resume normal life.

Reporter: What do you most want to do when you return to your hometown?

Wang Lijie: It must be a good gathering with family and friends, and cherish the time with everyone. Then, I also want to wait until the epidemic is over, and then travel from east to west in Inner Mongolia to feel the enthusiasm of the Inner Mongolian people and the customs and customs of Inner Mongolia. During the month I spent in Ejina and Baotou, I really felt the warm encouragement of so many people, so I regarded Inner Mongolia as my second hometown. I think this trip added a touch of special importance to my life experience. If you're just traveling, you're just looking at the scenery and taking pictures. Maybe in three or five years, you just remember yourself. But I believe that in another 10 years, I can tell the story of the situation, the people I met, the warmth I felt, and the scenes I saw.
