According to the Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK) on October 31, at about 8 p.m. local time on the 31st, a malicious arson and injury occurred in a subway car in Tokyo, Japan, causing at least 10 injuries.

According to reports, the incident occurred inside a train on the Keio Line, when a man in his 20s suddenly swung a knife at the surrounding passengers and set fire to the car. On-site surveillance footage showed that due to the sharp rise in the fire in the carriage, passengers fled in other directions, and the train immediately stopped urgently, and many passengers even jumped directly from the window to the platform in a panic to try to take shelter.
