On October 31, the Information Office of the People's Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region held a press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in the whole region to report on the prevention and control of the epidemic in the whole region. As of 12:00 on October 31, 8 locally confirmed cases in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region were cured and discharged from hospital. There are 160 cases, including 2 cases of Tuzuo Banner in Hohhot City and 1 case in Xincheng District; 15 cases in Erlianhot City of Xilin Gol League; 1 case of Yijin Holo Banner in Ordos City; 140 cases of Ejinna Banner of Alxa League and 1 case of Alxa Left Banner. There is 1 suspected case in Saihan District, Hohhot City. There were 9 confirmed cases imported from overseas. All confirmed and suspected cases are isolated and treated in designated hospitals, discharged cases are isolated and monitored in designated places for isolation management and health status monitoring, and all close contacts are centrally isolated for medical observation in designated places.

As of 12:00 on October 31, a total of 3,778 close contacts and 5,119 close contacts of close contacts had been screened, and all isolation and control measures had been implemented. The designated hospital of the autonomous region has treated 160 locally confirmed cases. Among them, there are 1 person who is critically serious, 9 people who are heavy, 51 people who are ordinary, 94 people who are light, and 5 people who are not classified. At present, the patient's condition is generally stable.

In terms of nucleic acid testing, Ejin Naqi has launched the eighth round of nucleic acid testing for all employees at 6 o'clock on October 31. Hohhot completed the second round of large-scale nucleic acid testing in key areas, and the results were negative. The city of Erenhot is undergoing the seventh round of nucleic acid testing.

Since October 27, Ejina Banner has successively transferred eligible tourists to low-risk areas in batches for centralized health monitoring. As of 24:00 on October 30, Ejina Banner had transported a total of 9,114 tourists through railways and highways. For various reasons, more than 300 tourists are still stranded in Ejin Naqi, and special classes have been set up to ensure their daily lives. At present, the transfer of stranded tourists in Ejin Naqi is nearing the end, and the tourists are subjected to centralized monitoring for 14 days after transfer, and after 14 days of negative nucleic acid test, they can embark on a journey back home.

At the same time, Hohhot has not had any new cases for 8 consecutive days, in order to strengthen risk investigation, Hohhot City Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters decided to start from October 31 to November 1, in the jurisdiction of the key area of the five flag counties to start the implementation of large-scale nucleic acid testing, the test results will be announced in a timely manner. According to the second round of large-scale nucleic acid testing in key areas, combined with the test results of the five flag counties outside the key areas of the jurisdiction and the opinions of the national and autonomous region expert groups, Hohhot City will make a comprehensive study and judgment by the Municipal Covid-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters to decide whether to carry out follow-up testing.
