Global mobile phone shipments in the third quarter were released, a year-on-year decline, and Apple shipments increased

Recently, market research agency IDC officially released the data statistics of global mobile phone shipments in the third quarter of this year.

Global mobile phone shipments in the third quarter were released, a year-on-year decline, and Apple shipments increased

According to the agency's survey data, global shipments in the third quarter of this year reached 331.2 million units, down 6.7% year-on-year. The analyst pointed out that the impact of insufficient capacity in the global supply chain is one of the most important reasons for the decline in mobile phone shipments in the third quarter.

In terms of specific manufacturers, although Samsung still ranks first with 69 million units of shipments and occupies more than 20% of the shipment share, its shipments fell by 14.2% year-on-year. With the release of the iPhone 13 series of mobile phones, Apple surpassed Xiaomi and returned to the second place. Although Xiaomi's mobile phone shipments fell year-on-year, considering that Xiaomi's shipments in the first and second quarters of this year increased significantly, this achievement belongs to normal market fluctuations. Vivo and OPPO two domestic manufacturers ranked fourth and fifth respectively.

Because the information only lists the top five shipments, Huawei and Honor have not been on the list.
