In late autumn, the number of migratory birds in the Seven Caspian Sea wetlands gradually increases. In order to protect these "distinguished guests", Ninghe District has taken a number of measures to comprehensively protect and build ecological safety barriers in an all-round way, providing a good habitat for birds.
In recent days, many migratory birds have flown to the shoals and bird islands of the Seven Caspian Sea wetlands to forage for food and roost. To this end, according to the habitat and foraging habits of different migratory birds, the wetland management committee lowers the water level in advance, reserves the shoals; releases fish fry, supplements food, and creates a safe ecological environment for migratory birds to forage and inhabit.
In order to reduce the human disturbance of birds, the patrol staff of the wetland management committee actively installed and used a network video surveillance system to monitor the habitat of migratory birds in the core area 24 hours a day; at the same time, they used unmanned aerial vehicles to cruise at high altitude and observe closely. The patrol team insists on patrolling and guarding the periphery of the core area of the wetland, taking into account both inside and outside, from top to bottom, three-dimensional monitoring and protection.
Every autumn and winter, a large number of migratory birds will roost in the wetlands and surrounding fish ponds. In order to ensure that birds are not harmed, the comprehensive administrative law enforcement detachment of the District Agricultural and Rural Committee inspects the relevant veterinary drug dealers, drug purchases and sales one by one, strictly controls the drug safety of aquaculture households, eliminates the use of toxic and harmful drugs in ponds, and allows birds to forage safely. Law enforcement officers also distributed the "Aquaculture Production Migratory Bird Protection Paper" to aquaculture farmers to publicize the laws and regulations on bird love and bird protection.
Since September, the District Agricultural and Rural Committee, the District Forestry Bureau and other relevant departments have jointly held 5 migratory bird protection publicity activities in The surrounding wetlands of Liukou Town, Qilihai Town, Beihuaidian Town, Jiajia Town, and Panzhuang Town, distributing more than 1,000 copies of relevant materials, making bird love and bird protection a conscious action of the masses.
