Guo Yueshan, deputy director of the branch, told reporters that gold was extracted from such gold ores. It must first be broken, and then after a series of physical and chemical reactions, it is finally refined into the gold we see.
Only at a certain level and with a grade above 0.8 is called gold ore. The reporter also saw at the scene that the gold ore of up to 5.26 grade extracted at 1028 meters underground could be seen by flipping the ore body back and forth under the illumination of the light. This type of gold ore is also known as "rich ore".
It is reported that the gold ore body found this time is an average thickness of 1-3 meters, with a gold grade of 1.15 g/t~56.9 g/t, and is associated with lead and zinc ore.

Since 2011, the Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources has implemented a series of projects in the mining agglomeration area of the China Bureau of Geological Survey and the provincial financial geological exploration and prospecting projects. The project team changed the idea of prospecting and established a "trinity" mineralization model and a comprehensive information prospecting prediction model for typical deposits of magma hydrothermal silver cave slope gold deposits. Exploration was carried out on the periphery and depth of the Silver Cave Slope, and a total of 68 boreholes were constructed, with a drilling scale of nearly 50,000 meters. In the end, 16 gold ore bodies were found at about 600 meters to 1100 meters underground, making a major prospecting breakthrough in the past decade.
Why is the gold content of Tongbai County so high?
It is reported that in 2016, in the deep and outer parts of the Laowan Gold Mine in Tongbai County, a super large gold mine with a gold content of about 105 tons was found, which can be mined for 80 years. Laowan Gold Mine is also the largest gold deposit discovered in our province so far, ranking fourth in the country in scale. Why is the gold content of a small county so high? Tang Xiangwei told reporters that Tongbai County is one of the important gold and silver mineralization belts in China, which belongs to the type of magma hydrothermal mineralization, and through the movement of the earth's crust, it is about 10 million years, or a longer period of time to form such a large gold and silver mineralization belt.
It is understood that the Weishan City mining area where the extra-large gold mine discovered this time belongs to the important gold and silver polymetallic metallogenic belt of Tongbai and is located in the northern part of the Tongbai area. From west to east, there are large silver deposits in the broken mountain, large gold deposits on the slope of Yindong, medium-sized silver polymetallic deposits in Yindongling and other small gold and silver, lead and zinc, iron and fluorite deposits. Guo Yueshan told reporters that the weishancheng mineralization belt has the premise of forming a large and extra-large mine, and the prospects are very impressive.
The extra-large gold mine discovered by the Henan Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources in the area of Weishan City in Tongbai County, Henan Province, has a preliminary estimate of 31.55 tons of gold metal, and the amount of gold resources is expected to reach 50 tons by the end of 2022, and the prospecting potential of the deep ore-forming belt is expected to exceed 100 tons.
