According to a report by Putian News on 26 August, the fourth plenary session of the 40th session of the Standing Committee of the Seventh People's Congress of Putian City was held to vote on the motion on the appointment and dismissal of personnel.

The meeting decided to appoint Chen Zhiqiang as vice mayor of putian Municipal People's Government.

The meeting appointed Lian Xin as vice chairman of the Putian Municipal Supervision Commission; due to changes in work, the meeting decided to accept Wu Lixin's request to resign as chairman of the Putian City Supervision Commission and report it to the Putian City People's Congress for the record; according to the proposal of the meeting of directors of the Standing Committee of the Putian City People's Congress, it was decided that Lian Xin would act as director of the Putian City Supervision Commission.

The meeting also voted to pass the other personnel appointment and dismissal motions.

Lin Shaomin was appointed deputy director of the Agriculture and Rural Work Committee of the Standing Committee of the Putian Municipal People's Congress;

Wang Yulai was dismissed from his post as vice chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Work Committee of the Standing Committee of the Putian Municipal People's Congress.

Chen Sirong was appointed vice president of the Putian Intermediate People's Court and a member of the adjudication committee.

Huang Guohai was appointed deputy chief procurator, member of the procuratorial committee, and procurator of the Putian Municipal People's Procuratorate.

Yao Zhou and Wu Xiaodan were dismissed from their posts as procurators of the Putian City People's Procuratorate.

In accordance with the provisions of the second paragraph of article 9 of the Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China, the third paragraph of article 6 of the Measures for the Implementation of the Appointment and Removal of State Organs by the Standing Committee of the Putian Municipal People's Congress, and the proposal of the meeting of directors of the Standing Committee of the Putian Municipal People's Congress, the 40th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Seventh People's Congress of Putian City decided that Lian Xin would act as director of the Putian Municipal Supervision Commission.

In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China, and with reference to the provisions of paragraph 1 of article 27 of the Organic Law of the People's Republic of China on Local People's Congresses at All Levels and Local People's Governments at All Levels, due to changes in work, the 40th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Seventh People's Congress of Putian City decided to accept Wu Lixin's request to resign as director of the Putian Municipal Supervision Commission and report to the Putian Municipal People's Congress for the record.
