His mother hated him, even his sister-in-law accused him in person, soiled the floor of the house, his brother told him not to disturb his life in a tone of admonition, the family's disregard and disgust, Zhongdu could only end up living in a car repair shop.
However, despite his family's objections, he took fruit to visit the family of the deceased and found that the princess's brother was busy moving to a new home, but he left his sister with cerebral palsy alone at home. Puzzled, he asked the princess brother with doubts, but in exchange for a cold sentence: "It doesn't matter to you."
He looked at the princess sitting on the ground, her expression twisted, unable to even communicate normally, and he instantly understood the princess's loneliness. Because both of them are rejected by their families, they are strange in the eyes of the world.

In order to facilitate the princess's travel, Zhongdu secretly drove out the car of the guest of the car repair shop, and when the traffic jam was blocked, he picked up the princess and danced in the middle of the highway.
When he returned home, Zhongdu found a painting in the princess's living room with an elephant and an Indian woman. The princess told Zhongdu that the painting was called Oasis. Watching Zhongdu stay by her side, the princess began her own imagination, she fantasized that she was a normal person, dancing with Zhongdu, painting Indian women and elephants, all sprinkling petals for them, celebrating their happiness.

In the movie, Oasis is the name of the movie, and also represents the inner vision of the princess and Zhongdu, the two marginal people, who snuggle together and provide each other with hope in the desert-like cruel life, and the oasis is the witness of all their beauty and hope.

Marginalized characters like Princess and Zhongdu, lacking the warmth and love of the family, real life shatters their dreams of love, bringing them only a short carnival and long-term helplessness.
At the end of the film, Tadato escapes from the police station, he comes downstairs to the princess, takes an axe, climbs up the tree, and he uses the axe to cut down the branches, because the reflection of these branches frightens the princess countless times, and he is determined to do this important thing for the princess before going to prison.
The princess heard the sound of Zhongdu cutting down the tree in the room, she opened the curtains and climbed excitedly to the windowsill, the princess turned on the radio, and in the sound of beautiful music, the princess smiled and looked at Zhongdu.
In the end, Zhongdu returned to prison, life continued, the princess returned to her former loneliness, and she received a letter from Zhongdu:
